Asus introduces RT-AC5300 router, claims it to be the world’s fastest

Asus has announced a new router at IFA in Berlin. The new product from the Taiwanese manufacturer carries the model number RT-AC5300 and according to the company, the router delivers the world’s fastest Wi-Fi speed.

TP-LINK has launched TL-WR720N, the company’s latest 802.11n wireless router that provides up to 150Mbps wireless connection with other 802.11n wireless clients. It supports up to 4 SSIDs so that users can set up additional wireless networks with additional SSIDs and Passwords for guests or friends. This ensures users are safe and there are no performance conflicts with different networks, says the company. The latest version of TL-WR720N router has a external fixed antenna, while the older version of the router has a internal antenna. Apple teams up with T-Mobile in the US and EE in the UK for Wi-Fi calling

T-Mobile will offer Wi-Fi calling on the newly launched iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in the US while EE will provide the same in the UK. The popular US and UK carriers will be the first one to partner Apple for this feature that will allow users to make phone calls using a Wi-Fi network.

Samsung SideSync 3.0 Demo

At the Samsung event during which Samsung unveiled its Super AMOLED tablets – Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5, Samsung also announced an updated version of its feature – SideSync 3.0.  A couple of weeks back, Apple announced a feature called Continuity at the WWDC 2014 that would allow you to seamlessly switch work between various iOS devices. Samsung’s SideSync isn’t exactly the same, but tries to achieve something similar between the Galaxy Tablets and Galaxy smartphones.

NVIDIA announces support for Miracast wireless display standard for Tegra 3 devices

NVIDIA has announced that they would bring support for Miracast, open wireless display standard  that was announced earlier this May. It would let Tegra 3 users to instantly stream content including photos and HDTVs to any Miracast-enabled display. The quad-core Tegra 3 chip would also let you stream intensive games such as ShadowGun THD which is Tegra 3-optimized game on to HDTVs. Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi officially announced by Sprint, coming out next week

We told you last month that Sprint will be launching the first ever Honeycomb tablet known as Motorola XOOM, and at the moment it’s available at Verizon Wireless and several retailers in USA. Today, Sprint officially announced the Motorola XOOM which is coming out on May 8th for $599. Only bad news is that the tablet is neither 3G nor 4G, it’s Wi-Fi only tablet. Back at MWC, HTC officially announced their first ever Android powered tablet which is known as the HTC Flyer. The device isn’t running Honeycomb like recently announced tablets i.e. Motorola XOOM, LG Optimus Pad. But the device offers a completely different experience compared to other tablets available in the market. Thanks to HTC Sense UI for tablet and HTC Scribe feature. Tata Docomo 3G WiFi Hub

Tata Docomo has launched a device called the 3G Wi-Fi Hub, a Dual-mode device which works on both TATA Photon Plus CDMA and Tata Docomo 3G network. The 3G Wi-Fi Hub is nothing but a pocket WiFi router similar to the Vodafone MiFi and you can share your internet connection with any device that is Wi-Fi enabled.  We think it’s a pretty interesting device as you can get reliable data access from either the GSM  network or CDMA network.
