NTT Docomo has announced that it will launch its LTE-Advanced service in Japan next month that would offer download speed of up to 225Mbps and upload speed of up to 50Mbps. It uses carrier aggregation technology that would allow the operator achieve its ultra-high speed download speed, which will be further accelerated to a maximum 300Mbps towards the end of the next fiscal year ending in March 2016. Three UK have revealed that their superfast 4G network is now available to 48% of the UK population with 3.1 million of their customers are now using the next-generation network. NTT Docomo has expanded its inbound LTE roaming service in Japan for customers from the Azores, Australia, Christmas Island, Greece, Madeira, New Zealand and Portugal. This will enable customers from 37 countries and regions have access to Docomo’s extra-high-speed LTE network (up to 150Mbps), Xi (read crossy) when traveling in Japan beginning December 5. Aircel has launched its 4G services in Tamil Nadu and Jammu & Kashmir. It becomes the first company to provide 2G, 3G and 4G services in these two circles. Last month Aircel launched its 4G LTE services in four circles – Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar and Odisha. Other than these circles, Aircel holds 20MHz of spectrum in the 4G LTE 2300 MHz band in West Bengal and North East. Airtel has launched 4G services in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The company already offers 4G services in Pune, Maharashtra since 2012. It launched 4G services in Patiala, Punjab last week. Nagpur is the 14th city in the country to get Airtel 4G, said the company. Customers in Nagpur too can access 4G on dongles and Wi-Fi CPEs (Customer Premise Equipment/ routers). 4G on mobile is not available in the city yet.
