Sony Xperia ZL hands-on Video

Sony unveiled the Xperia ZL along with the Xperia Z at the CES 2013 last week. You saw the Xperia ZL photo gallery, and here we have the hands-on video of the device from the CES. The Xperia ZL has a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2 and a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor similar to the Xperia Z. The phone has a unique design and has a plastic back, unlike the Xperia Z that comes with a glass back. There is a glowing LED indicator below the display and the phone also has an IR transmitter. The phone has metallic finish on the sides and the top. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Sony’s UI on top.

Ubuntu for phones hands-on

Canonical announced Ubuntu OS for smartphones last week, and here we have a video demo of the Ubuntu OS running on the Galaxy Nexus. The Ubuntu OS for phones has an intuitive gesture-based User Interface, right from the lock screen. The colors in the phone OS are similar the Ubuntu for desktops. It also has a sidebar to access apps quickly.

Nokia Lumia 920 Unboxing

Nokia unveiled the Lumia 920, their latest flagship device that runs on the Windows Phone 8 back in September. Here we have the unboxing. The box looks similar to the boxes of the previous Lumia devices. The device has a 4.5-inch (1280 × 768 pixels) Pure Motion HD+ IPS display with 332 PPI pixel density and 600 Nits brightness. It is one of the best smartphone displays . It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.

Micromax launched the A110 Superfone Canvas 2, successor of the Micromax A100 Superfone Canvas last month. Here we have the unboxing of the latest Dual SIM Android phone from Micromax. This is priced at Rs. 9,999, and come with a 5-inch TFT capacitive touch screen IPS display at a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels with 196 ppi pixel density . It runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS.

Google Nexus 10 Unboxing

The Nexus program from Google has been transforming from a developer focused one to a completely consumer focused one. The message is very clear, Google wants to use its services(Google Play) and the best possible way to use them is by buying their Nexus devices. Starting from the Nexus One, the program has seen many phones, till the Nexus 4(See our unboxing here) a 7 inch tablet made by ASUS, the Nexus 7, but we never got to see a 10 inch one. But then, amidst “Sandy”, Google launched the first 10 inch Nexus device – The Google Nexus 10, made by Samsung. And yes, we have got it in our hands already, after a terrible launch delay. Apple iPad mini WiFi+Cellular Version Unboxing

Here is a quick unboxing of the Apple iPad Mini WiFi+Cellular version. We had already unboxed the WiFi only version few days ago and here we have the Cellular version.We like to simply call as iPad mini 3G or 4G or even the iPad mini with LTE. Sony Xperia SL Unboxing

Sony Xperia SL went on sale in India back in September, but Sony launched it officially few weeks back. Here we have the unboxing of the Sony Xperia SL. It looks similar to the Sony Xperia S that we reviewed earlier this year, including a 4.3 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 12MP camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front-facing camera, but it powered by a faster 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 MSM8260 processor with Adreno 220 GPU and comes with Android 4.0 out of the box.

Asus Padfone 2 Unboxing

The Asus Padfone was an innovative gadget but it was a bit bulky and used only a dual core processor.It launched at Computex earlier this year and we  spotted it at MWC and finally it was launched in India last month. Now we have at FoneArena one of the most innovative gadgets of 2012 the Asus Padfone 2.
