Lava E-Tab Z7C+ with 7-inch display, Voice Calling now available for Rs. 8499

Lava E-Tab Z7C+ (Connect+), successor of the E-Tab Connect tablet that was launched back in March is now available from online retailer Flipkart. It appeared online last week and comes with a 7.0-inch (800 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has a SIM card slot that offers 3G connectivity and voice calling support. The specifications are similar to the E-Tab Connect expect for the new sliver colored body.

Datawind to pre-install CricHQ cricket scoring app on UbiSlate tablets

Datawind, the company behind the popular low-cost Aakash tablet has announced a partnership with CricHQ, global cricket technology company. With this partnership, Datawind would be pre-installing the CricHQ app on all their Ubislate tablets. Huawei MediaPad 7 Vogue with 7-inch display, quad-core processor, Android 4.1 announced

Huawei has announced the MediaPad 7 Vogue, the company’s latest tablet in the MediaPad series. It has first mentioned at the official MWC press release back in February and leaked in March. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) IPS display, similar to the Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite that was launched in India last November. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core K3V2 HiSilicon processor with 16 Core graphics and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s Emotion UI 1.5 on top. Nexus 7 successor surfaces, might feature a Snapdragon 600 processor

A code-named ASUS K009, with the FCC ID code MSQK009 was certified in the U.S last week. The tablet has also surfaced in the Bluetooth SIG listing last week that shows the front part of the tablet in a tiny image. Rumors of the second-gen Nexus 7 surfaced back in April, and Reuters revealed that the tablet would feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor instead of NVIDIA Tegra chip. Amazon has finally released the Kindle Fire HD and Fire HD 8.9″ tablets in India. Both these tablets were announced last year. The Kindle Fire HD has a 7-inch (1280×720 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz TI OMAP4460 Dual Core CPU. The Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ has a 8.9-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) display with 254 ppi. Both these tablets have Dolby audio with dual stereo speakers for immersive, virtual surround sound and Dual-band WiFi with dual-antennas / MIMO for 40% faster throughput than other tablets. Huawei MediaPad 10 Link First hands on

Who are the top five smartphone makers in the world? Samsung and Apple would be anyone’s guess. Evidently, because of their dominant presence in the market and ever rising sale figures. LG follows next in ranking. Who do you reckon follows in the 4th spot? Blackberry, Nokia or HTC? Well, its Huawei. The Chinese telecom company is the fourth largest smartphone maker in the world, by units !
Yet, why is it that you and I rarely see a Huawei phone in Indian stores, when shopping for the latest smartphone ? Why is it that the 4th biggest smartphone maker is not visible in one of world’s biggest smartphone market? Huawei hopes to change this brand image, soon. Starting this month, Huawei will begin introducing its star smartphones and tablets, in India. The Chinese phone maker has slotted a bunch of big launches in the next quarter, too.
First up is the Huawei Media Pad 10 Link that was launched in India recently. A 10.1 inch screen tablet priced at just Rupees 24,990/- . The Media Pad 10 runs on 1.2 GHz Quad Core Huawei Hi-Silicon Processor. Operating system is the Android 4.1.
