Lenovo A1000, A3000 and S6000 Android Tablets launched in India, priced between Rs. 8999 and Rs. 27000


Lenovo has launched three new Android tablets in India. These tablets were announced earlier at the MWC 2013 and the A1000 went on sale in India from the official Lenovo online store last month. The A1000 has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core MediaTek MTK8317 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a SIM card slot with 2G data support, voice calling capabilities and a VGA front-facing camera. The A3000 also has a similar 7-inch display, but it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 8125 processor. It also supports 3G and voice calling. New Nexus 7 2013 Unboxing

The all the new Nexus 7 2013 edition just landed at FoneArena and we thought we will bring you one of the first unboxings from India.The new Nexus 7 is priced at $229 and has gone on sale in the US and is expected to come soon to India but not in the immediate future.Like the previous Nexus 7 , this tablet is also manufactured by Asus for Google and sold by Google directly.The main highlights of the 2013 Nexus 7 are the design including the massive Full HD display and the change from a Nvidia Tegra 3 processor to a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. This Nexus 7 is the first Android device to ship with Android 4.3 JellyBean out of the box which is now also available for several other devices.

Lava E-Tab XTRON+ Benchmarks

Lava E-Tab XTRON Plus Benchmarks

Lava launched the XTRON+, the successor of XTRON recently. We brought you the unboxing of the device recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the tablet. In terms of display and processor it is similar to the XTRON that includes a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch IPS display and 1.5 GHz dual-core RockChip RK3066 Cortex A9 processor and Mali-400 MP GPU. However the tablet runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). Most of the benchmarks scores are almost similar to the first XTRON tablet that we reviewed earlier this year.

Is Nokia launching a tablet at the September 26-27 NYC event?

It’s been long rumoured that Nokia is launching a Windows tablet, and that might actually come true if the recent leaks are to be believed. Windows Phone Central reports that Nokia is having a launch event in New York on September 26th and 27th spanning two days, for a rumoured tablet announcement. The above image is a screenshot of a purported event invite that is doing the rounds internally. Is this actually the Nokia World event this year? Quite possibly.

But the company has improved upon the original and has labeled it the XTRON+ that launched recently, and as usual, we have unboxed it to show you what the differences and the box contents. Next-gen Amazon Kindle Fire HD tablets rumored to feature high-res displays and Snapdragon 800 processor


Amazon announced the Kindle Fire HD 7-inch and 8.9-inch tablets back in September last year. These tablets were launched in India last month. Now rumors of the next-gen Kindle Fire HD tablets have surfaced. According to BGR, Amazon plans to launch 3 new tablets this year, a budget 7-inch tablet and two high-end tablets with 7-inch and 8.9-inch displays. Current Kindle Fire HD tablet have a dual-core OMAP chips, and the next-gen high-end Kindle Fire tablets are expected to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Google unveiled the second generation Google Nexus 7 on July 24th in the Breakfast with Sundar Pichai event in San Francisco. The Google Nexus 7 2 will initially be available in USA and will gradually roll out across the globe and will eventually come to India. Samsung has been mainly targeting the mid-range tablet market and now according to @evleaks, the company plans to launch a couple of high resolution tablets that could mark the company’s direct entry into the high-end tablet market.

Asus Fonepad with 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 processor, 32GB internal storage now available in India for Rs. 17999

Asus launched the Fonepad in India with 3G data support and voice calling capabilities back in April. Later the Fonepad was upgraded with a more powerful processor and 32GB internal storage in May. Now the new Fonepad is available from online retailer Flipkart. Apart from the processor and the internal memory, the new Fonepad has similar features including a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display, 3-megapixel auto focus rear camera with 720p HD video recording, 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). We reviewed the first Fonepad back in May. Google unveiled the new Nexus 7 few hours back. The Nexus 7 comes in 3 variants, 16GB WiFi, 32GB WiFi and 32GB 4GLTE. Google announced that the WiFi version of the Nexus 7 (2013) would go on sale first in the U.S starting from July 30th over Google Play and several local retailers. It also announced that the Asus-made Nexus 7 tablet would be available United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Spain, France, Japan, Korea, and Australia in the coming week with other countries to follow soon after. Even though they did not announce what these countries the New Nexus 7 page is live for several countries including India that reveals that the tablet would eventually launch here. New Nexus 7 announced with Full HD display, Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU and Wireless Charging starting from $229

Google announced the new Nexus 7 today at an event in San Francisco where the updated Nexus 7 tablet was one of the main highlights of the event. We have seen plenty of leaks of this device including an unboxing so not much was left for the official announcement except for the confirmation of the specs , the pricing and launch date.  The biggest difference on this Nexus tablet is the update Full HD screen which makes it the highest resolution screen on a 7 inch tablet and also crushes the competition especially the iPad mini. It is the first tablet to run Android 4.3 out of the box which we have covered separately. The new Nexus 7 is marginally thinner than the first gen Nexus 7 and lighter too. It is slightly narrower than the previous model. Another big change is the move from Nvidia Tegra 3 to a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor in terms of the internals. And yes it is still made by Asus. New Google Nexus 7 press shots leak again, shows off a new wallpaper

Earlier today evleaks leaked the press shots of the New Google Nexus 7. Now Android Police has leaked the press images of the tablet that shows off a new wallpaper. This might be the default wallpaper in the Android 4.3 says the website. Unlike the first Nexus 7 tablet, this has a LED notification light and a rear camera. It would also feature a SlimPort similar to the Nexus 4, but it lacks the pogo pins for the docking station that was present in last year’s Nexus 7. Looking at the leaked press shots, this tablet is also expected to come with a matte finish similar to the first Nexus 7. Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab 3 310 (SM-T310) and the Galaxy Tab 3 311 (SM-T311), 2 new tablets in India at an event in Delhi. It was announced last month as Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and packs a 8-inch (1280×800) IPS LCD capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor  and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI on top. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Unlike the Galaxy Note 510, this doesn’t come with stylus support. The Tab 3 310 is the WiFi-only variant and the Tab 3 311 comes with 3G support via SIM card slot and voice calling capabilities. It has a 3-megapixel fixed focus rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It also comes with 3G support via SIM card slot and voice calling capabilities similar to the Galaxy Tab 2.
