WhatsApp goes completely free, not planning to introduce ads

WhatsApp today announced that will no longer charge subscription fees for using the service. It also said it will not be introducing third-party ads to compensate. Instead, it will start testing tools so that you can use WhatsApp to communicate with businesses and organizations such as banks, to know if your recent transaction was fraudulent, or chat with an airline to ask about a delayed flight.

Twitter has updated the iOS app to version 6.44 that now lets you watch Periscope broadcasts live, within the tweets. When there is a Tweet with a link for a Periscope broadcast, it will autoplay right within the Tweet. When you tap the video, it goes full-screen and shows Periscope comments and hearts from other viewers. It doesn’t require you to install Periscope app or even a Periscope account to watch the broadcasts on Twitter. Rockstar games has launched Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories game for iOS devices. It was originally released for PlayStation Portable back in 2005 and was released on PlayStation 3 in 2013. The game has several enhancements for the iOS platform, including real time lighting and shadows, upgraded textures and art, greater draw distance, performance enhancements for touch-based gaming including updated analog steering and rebalanced targeting, cross-platform cloud saves via Social Club, support for Apple’s 3D touch and more, said the company. Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen’s .GEARS released Swing Copters game for Android and iOS platforms last August, now its sequel has arrived for both the platforms. In this game you need to control a pilot equipped with a copter-hat to fly through obstacles to get points, similar to the first one, but this adds new obstacles such as swinging hammers. It also has more characters and there is a story for them, but this game will be much more challenging, says the team.
