BGR is reporting that Verizon is going to drop the Motorola Droid 2, and they will replace it with the Droid 2 World edition, which can tun on GSM/HSPA networks. That’s a good news for the people who are looking forward to the Droid 2, because if you love traveling other countries, then the world edition would be good for you. But if you already bought the phone, then this might be a bad news for you, but I don’t think so because the only different thing will be the radio frequencies, everything else would be same. Samsung aired the Samsung Fascinate commercial a few days ago, and it was showing that the Fascinate is “Coming soon” to Verizon. PhoneDog is the one who spotted the release date in the commercial and they are saying that the “Coming Soon” is replaced by Sept. 9, but I checked the commercial on Youtube , and it’s still saying “Coming Soon”, which means that Samsung has removed the date from the video.
