Verizon discontinuing Droid 2 in favor of Droid 2 World edition?

BGR is reporting that Verizon is going to drop the Motorola Droid 2, and they will replace it with the Droid 2 World edition, which can tun on GSM/HSPA networks. That’s a good news for the people who are looking forward to the Droid 2, because if you love traveling other countries, then the world edition would be good for you. But if you already bought the phone, then this might be a bad news for you, but I don’t think so because the only different thing will be the radio frequencies, everything else would be same. Shocker : HTC Desire HD to run on Windows ?

BestBoyz has posted leaked image of what looks like the upcoming HTC Desire HD . As you can see in the image , it is running on something similar to  Windows Mobile 6.5  and the Desire HD might be a HD2 successor if this is true.Specs we have heard earlier include a 8MP Camera , 4.3 inch Display and 8GB inbuilt memory . Samsung Fascinate hitting Verizon this Thursday?

The Samsung Galaxy S series is the line of one of the best smartphones available in the market. Samsung Galaxy S is currently available on all major US carriers except Verizon, and now according to a new leaked screenshot, we’d be seeing the Verizon Galaxy S a.k.a Samsung Fascinate on Verizon shelves this Thursday, Sept. 9.

Samsung aired the Samsung Fascinate commercial a few days ago, and it was showing that the Fascinate is “Coming soon” to Verizon. PhoneDog is the one who spotted the release date in the commercial and they are saying that the “Coming Soon” is replaced by Sept. 9, but I checked the commercial on Youtube , and it’s still saying “Coming Soon”, which means that Samsung has removed the date from the video.

Well folks, we finally have a date now for the Fascinate. So Verizon folks, watch out for the Samsung Fascinate this Thursday in your local Verizon store.
