I just fail to understand why so many, so called high end phones dont have basic/useful feature like FM Radio? Ridiculous.

    • TJ

i think this point needs a bit clarification..many times smartphone manufactures put all the required hardware for radio/fm in phones but don’t enable it directly on handsets rather provide it via updates(simply because hardware is there).
I have nexus one with me which don’t have out of the box fm support but bingo I have rooted my nexus with the alpha HTC desire Rom & fm radio is working as if it was native in it…

Let’s hope this is gonna be the case with galaxy too .. 🙂

i am planning to buy a i8000 mobile, but now got much impressed with this i9000. i want to know how long will be my wait to get it in my hands?

how is it superior than its predecessor i8000?

    • Make

Well considering that the touch screen is capacitive and actually supports multi-touch, I’d say that’s enough said, but just for the hell of it:

Super AMOLED means that they have removed any gaps between the touch screen and the actual display, so the already epic AMOLED is now Super, a.k.a. more responsive and much better to look at. Plus the 16M colours look pretty badass.

This phone is also said to be launched some time this summer; what that means, I don’t know, but in terms of price you’re looking at about 820 USD.

I would have to say that the only downside to this phone is that there doesn’t appear to be the presence of any flash (LED or other) for the camera.

In spite of that I still can’t wait to get my hands on this either. Finally something to give the iPhone a run for its money, with Google to back it up.

      • Make

Scratch that, it does have LED flash.

        • basil

Does it have a flash? I’ve seen spec’s showing no flash. Which is it?

  • bill

So the Galaxy has no sim card putting at&t out of the running? Is that right?

Please reveal the price of this phone and when it is going to be launched in India.

  • kc

  • Martin

Je škoda, že to trochu posrali tím, že tam není blesk. Kdyby byl tak neváhám a počkám si na něj. 🙂

  • sam

Great phone. Just two things matter, one price. Second is it possible to update new android 2.2 OS or next update with hardware limitation and also with pay (some one pay for work)

  • Android based mobiles are already giving iPhone a run for its money. But do you still think that such phones will dethrone a device like iPhone which has turned the fortune of Apple in such a way that it has surpassed Microsoft in terms of capitalization

  • Maku

Turns out Galaxy S doesn’t have an LED flash; it IS possible to update to android 2.2 when available though.

    • Samsung has promised that the Galaxy S will get Android 2.2 but you never know

  • mil

    hi its me mil
