HP India today launched the Slate 6 VoiceTab II voice calling tablet running Android and Stream 8 Windows 8.1 tablet with 3G support. Xolo today announced that the it will roll out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its Xolo One budget smartphone starting January 16. It already promised to offer Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for the smartphone when it launched back in October last year running Android 4.4 (KitKat). Xolo is not part of the Android One program, and it is really good to see the company offering Android Lollipop update for the Xolo One before the Android One devices. Micromax’s YU has announced that it sold 10,000 units of Yureka smartphones in just 3 seconds in its first flash sale on Amazon.in. Over 3 lakh people had registered for today’s sale. Micromax intelligently roped in Cyanogen Inc. for its first YU branded device and launched the YU YUREKA budget smartphone last month running Cyanogen OS at Rs. 8,999. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G went on sale in India last month for Rs. 9,999. Both the smartphones are competitively priced and come with 4G connectivity. You might have already seen the photo gallery comparing the YU YUREKA and the Xiaomi Redmi Note. The Redmi Note 4G has the same design, but the internals are slightly different. We decided to compare these smartphones.
