Nokia Asha 200 : Dual SIM , QWERTY enabled S40 device announced

The Nokia Asha 200 is a dual SIM enabled device which allows for Easy Swap ie it is possible to change the SIM card without turning off the device. You also get shortcuts for social networking , email , IM , Orkut and Flickr amongst others.

The phone can support upto 32GB microSD cards allowing users to store thousands of tracks. The phone is rated for 52hours of audio playback. A 2MP camera is also present at the back of the phone.

Tata DOCOMO has announced that actor Vijay is their new brand ambassador for a period of 1 year . He would be endorsing the products and services of Tata DOCOMO in Tamil Nadu. Recently Tata Indicom brand merged into Tata DOCOMO for both the CDMA and GSM platforms. They have also launched new Double talk time plan for CDMA prepay customers and Full talk time plan for GSM prepay customers for this festive season. Lava Mobiles launches LAVA S12 Android Phone

Lava mobiles has launched their first Android Smartphone, the LAVA S12 that is powered by Android 2.2 (Froyo). It is a sleek phone which is 13.5mm thick and has matte leather finish with rounded top and bottom edges. The hard keys and edges have metallic silver finish. It features 600MHz Qualcomm processor and has 3D home screen UI which is customizable that has unique smart folders and a rich set of animated 3D widgets. Apple iPhone 4S Singapore Prices Out

Looks like Apple is all set to launch the iPhone 4S in more countries on October 28th. The pre-order pages for the countries part of the Oct 28 launch went up few hours ago. Amongst those countries , the only country in Asia is Singapore where Apple products are normally priced similar to the United States. Here we have news of the Singapore prices of the iPhone 4S. Prices start from 948 SGD for the 16GB version , 1088 SGD for the 32GB version and 1238 SGD for the 64GB version.This works out to about Rs.38000 approx for the 16GB version , Rs.42500 approx for the 32GB version and Rs.48400 approx for the top-end 64GB variant. you might also have to pay GST or a Sales Tax in addition to the above price. From the pricing , one can assume that the device is sold unlocked but we don’t have confirmation of that.But the product family page mentions the word unlocked.The part number for the basic version is MD235ZA/A. Acer has launched ICONIA Smart S300 smartphone in India with tablet features. It has 4.8 inch (1024 x 480 pixels) large display with 21: 9 aspect ratio. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and it is powered by 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The large and bright display offers Panoramic cinema and gaming experience with 6 axis motion sensing. The phone comes with Dolby sound quality and it has curved design that is easy to hold and carry. It was previous introduced in May as Iconia Smart A300. Spirnt has announced the Motorola ADMIRAL, the first smartphone that boasts Sprint Direct Connect speed. It is powered by a 1.2GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Nokia N9 Review – a Swipetastic Device from Finland

It’s been a week since I picked up my (test-) Nokia N9 from the kind of folks of Grayling, an agency for Nokia Austria in Vienna. Of course, I was not too anxious to get it in my hands as soon as possible, i just wanted to save them some money for the delivery 😉 In this week I have tried and tested almost everything possible, and to give you a first conclusion of what i think: I love the N9. This is no fanboy rubbish or something like that, I simply speak as an honest, independent blogger, who has tried Android, Windows Phone, Symbian and even iOS. The N9 does not have the most powerful processor, it does not have the most Megapixels and thank god not the biggest display. It’s a smartphone with solid hardware, and the one thing Nokia needs so desperately: a decent OS. Yes, I know the whole story around Meego’s end before it really started, however, this is not subject of this review. For now, let’s have a look at what the N9 has to offer and what you can expect from it!

Google to operate Motorola “At arm’s length”

The search gian, implored that the other Android manufacturers had nothing to be vexed about, when Motorola was taken over by Google. Not allowing it any particular favors or privileges, they would operate Motorola as a wholly discrete unit. Ingeminating this claim, during a Wednesday evening interview at AsiaD, Google mobile chief Andy Rubin said ‘that the companydidn’t buy Motorola for its hardware, but for its patents.’
