Over here at FoneArena , we are very appreciative of the work that is being done by Nimbuzz.  An active support team which constantly listens to consumer feedback coupled with constant addition of innovative services has led to their roaring success. The service adds over 100k users everyday and has over 10 million active users from India alone. So when the company launched their Ping service in Indonesia earlier this year as we found out from our interview with Nimbuzz earlier this year, we were genuinely interested. As soon as we got word that the service has been officially launched in India , we just had to give it a spin.

Airtel launches 3G services in Tirupathi, Nellore and Kadappa


Airtel 3G services are now live in the cites of Tirupathi, Nellore and Kadappa in Andhra Pradesh. Airtel 3G is already available in Hyderabad and other important cities in Andhra Pradesh that include Vizag, Vijayawada, Warangal, Guntur, Karimanagar, Rajahmundry and Kakinada. iPhone 3GS now available from Airtel and Aircel for Rs 19,990


After the launch of iPhone 4 at the end of May this year, the 8GB version of the iPhone 3GS is now available from Airtel and Aircel for Rs 19,990. Tata Indicom has launched Happy Family Plan for its postpaid customers. This plan costs Rs 499 / month and you can add up to 3 family members with 2 add on members, and it also offers the customers to manage a single bill for their entire family. Apple AppStore hits 15 Billion Downloads as store crosses 425000 apps

Apple today announced that its AppStore has crossed 15 billion downloads. Apple has over 200 million users on the  iPhone , iPad and iPod Touch.The AppStore has crossed 425000 apps and there are over 100000 native iPad apps according to company’s claims. iOS developers have been paid 2.5 billion dollars so far by the company.We have to add that the quality of apps offered on the Apple App Store is very good  compared to other platforms. If we look back a little into history , the first iPhone which debuted in 2007 never even had the AppsStore. The iPhone 3G was the first to have this functionality and was launched in 2008. 3 years down the the line,  the AppStore crosses 15 billion downloads , another feather on the cap and lots of money in the bank for Apple.

LG Optimus 3D to come with 3 pre-loaded Stereoscopic 3D games

LG has announced that the LG Optimus 3D would come pre-loaded with 3 stereoscopic 3D (S-3D) games. They have also introduced 17 stereoscopic 3D games from the leading mobile Game developer Gameloft that could be downloaded at discounted rates for LG Optimus 3D owners. The LG Optimus 3D was announced at MWC 2011 this February and now officially launched in Korea and is up for pre-order in UK. Exclusive : The Epic Nokia N950 Hands On !

The first Nokia Harmattan / MeeGo device , the Nokia N9 , has been garnering rave reviews everywhere. However there is one more MeeGo phone ie the developer only Nokia N950. Rumor has it that the N950 was supposed to be launched in 2010 as the first MeeGo device but got canned. AT&T launching LG Thrill 4G and HTC Status this month, BlackBerry Torch 4G in August?

AT&T is one of the largest US carriers and they are offering number of Android devices. Recently, they announced two new Android devices known as HTC Status and LG Thrill 4G. HTC Status is AT&T version of HTC ChaCha which is a small device that comes with a dedicated Facebook button. Nokia Zeta 700 Press Photos Leaked

A rumoued Nokia Symbian phone – the Zeta ( Nokia 700) running the Symbian Belle update has been leaked in press photos. We had previously heard about the 1GHz Nokia Phones last month. The Zeta might be Nokia’s thinnest smartphone  with a thickness of 8 mm.

BestBuy now selling Scribe Pen for free with HTC Flyer

HTC Flyer was launched few months ago which is HTC’s first ever Android powered tablet. It’s a very good Android powered tablet and I recently reviewed it and I was impressed. Sprint is offering the Flyer in USA as EVO View 4G and it’s available on contract. INTEX has launched a new Triple SIM phone IN 5030 E Tri.do. This is third triple SIM phone from INTEX and this phone is the successor of IN 5030 that was launched last year.
