Photo Sharing through NFC in Nokia Symbian Belle Phones

We had the chance to check out the NFC feature in the newly announced Symbian Belle Phones. You can transfer photos from one phone to another by merely tapping the phones together.  Watch the video below to see the technology in action. In the first part of the video a photo is clicked with a Nokia 600 and is sent to another device via NFC or Near Field Communication.  In the second part a wallpaper is shared in a similar fashion.

Samsung Galaxy S II US Variants Announced

Samsung finally launched the much-awaited Galaxy S II in the US. The AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint version of the Galaxy S II is called as AT&T Galaxy S II, T-Mobile Galaxy S II and Samsung Epic 4G Touch respectively.

Samsung Galaxy S II is already available in most of the European and Asian countries from the last 3 months, but the customers in the US were left behind. This handset was announced and showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011 in Barcelona. After waiting for almost 3 months, Samsung finally went ahead and launched the much-awaited Galaxy S II in the US. Micromax X40 – Dual SIM Projector phone

Micromax X40 is a low cost Dual SIM phone with a built-in projector and it also comes with tripod stand. It has 2.4 inch QVGA TFT display, 2MP camera and include features like Bluetooth, Multi-format document reader (Word, Excel, PDF, Power point etc.) and Multi-format Audio and video player. It has adjustable lens to fine tune the projected image. This would compete with two projector phones INTEX V.Show Mini Theatre 8809 and Spice Popkorn M-9000 that are currently available in the market. MapmyIndia launches CarPad powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor

MapmyIndia, popular for its GPS navigation devices, has launched CarPad in partnership with Qualcomm that runs on Android 2.2 (FroYo). The CarPad could be mounted on the font or back seat of the car and it could be used both for navigation and entertainment. It has 7 inch Capacitive Display, and it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor. It also has 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS with MapmyIndia’s Aura 3D navigation interface. HTC EVO 3D launching in India today

HTC is all set to launch it’s 3D smartphone the EVO 3D in India today at a price close to Rs.35000 undercutting the LG Optimus 3D which was launched last week for Rs.37000.
