MapmyIndia has announced its partnership with Ford, on their AppLink platform to offer an enhanced version of MapmyIndia’s Map App. “Ford SYNC platform so far provided Points of Interest Search around a current location, but the enhanced version will now let the user search Points of Interest via category listing (18 categories and 108 sub-categories), and also specific brand names,” said the company. MapmyIndia launches Locate app for Android

MapmyIndia, popular for its GPS navigation and mobile apps has launched  MapmyIndia Locate that would let the users share the location and to stay connected with their friends and family. You can add up to 3 people to locate, set/configure times and days of the week when their friends/family can locate them. Once it’s done you can report the visits by checking-in to the app at the locations or the app automatically picks up location. You can also get the movement reports for up to 5 days which can be viewed on the Android app and also on the mobile web. MapmyIndia launches CarPad powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor

MapmyIndia, popular for its GPS navigation devices, has launched CarPad in partnership with Qualcomm that runs on Android 2.2 (FroYo). The CarPad could be mounted on the font or back seat of the car and it could be used both for navigation and entertainment. It has 7 inch Capacitive Display, and it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor. It also has 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS with MapmyIndia’s Aura 3D navigation interface. Motorola Milestone comes with lifetime free access to voice-guided street-level maps of 401 cities in India

The Moto Droid was launched in USA last year with Google Turn-by-Turn navigation , it’s not available in India as of now. But Motorola has joined hands with local maps company MapMyIndia to offer lifetime free access to fully voice-guided street-level navigable maps of 401 cities in India
