Sony Xperia T and Xperia V Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update starts rolling out


Sony Mobile has finally started rolling out the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the 2012 Xperia devices starting from the Xperia T (9.1.A.0.489) and the Xperia V (v 9.1.A.0.490), as they promised. Pink Samsung Galaxy Note 2 goes official in Taiwan

Samsung released the Amber Brown and Ruby Wine Galaxy Note 2 in Korea last month, now the Pink Galaxy Note 2 has been unveiled in the manufacturer’s Taiwan’s official website, just in time for the Valentine’s Day. Samsung and EA partner to bring more games to Samsung Apps store


Samsung has joined hands with EA’s mobile games publishing division, Chillingo for a developer program called 100% Indie that would boost the games in the Samsung Apps store and also provide a great opportunity for developers to earn money with 100 percent pre-negotiated revenue sharing for the first six months. Ubuntu Smartphone Devices to Ship Starting October 2013

The Ubuntu operating system for Smartphones was recently unveiled with its radical UI and user experience getting much praise and accolade from the tech press. We took a hands on look at the Ubuntu OS running on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, at the International CES 2013 and we were quite impressed with it. Canonical inc., the minds behind the OS promised to bring a very similar experience from the desktop Ubuntu OS that is widely installed by various classes of consumers, to the smartphone experience. And they have just done that, with the Ubuntu for Smartphones. While we got to know about the software, the hardware was literally non existent at the OS launch, but that might be fixed real soon with Canonical CEO Mark Shuttleworth promising devices as early as October 2013.

Samsung to unveil Galaxy S4 at the Unpacked event on March 15 ?


Samsung would unveil the Galaxy S4 at a the unpacked event on March 15th, according to a recent report from SamMobile. Some of the earlier reports suggested that the next Galaxy S smartphone would be unveiled in March, and would go on sale in April 2013. Karbonn Smart A111 with 5-inch display, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor now available for Rs. 10290

Karbonn Smart A111, a new dual SIM Android Smartphone is now available from online retailer Flipkart. It has a 5-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), similar to Karbonn A21 and A9+, that were launched last year. It has a 5MP auto focus camera at the back and a front-facing camera.

JBL Lightning-equipped Audio Docks available in India starting from February

JBL has announced that their new range of Lightning-equipped Audio Docks for Apple devices including the iPhone 5, the iPad 4th Generation and the iPad mini would go on sale in India starting from this month. These audio docks include, the JBL OnBeat Micro, JBL OnBeat Mini, JBL OnBeat Venue LT and the JBL OnBeat Rumble. Zync to launch new quad-core Android Tablets by February-end


Zync has announced that they plan to launch five new dual-core and quad-core tablets in sub-Rs.15,000 price range by the end of this month. These tablets would have 7-inch, 8-inch, 9.7-inch and 10.1-inch displays, respectively. Zync launched the Z-990 running Androrid 4.0 back in March 2012, which was India’s first Tablet to run on Android 4.0. Since then they have been launching several tablets, with the latest being the Z99, a budget Android tablet with 2G voice calling support.
