Aircel and ICICI Bank partner to launch Mobile Money

Aircel and ICICI Bank have announced the joint launch of Mobile Money, Mobile Banking service. It runs on Visa’s Mobile Managed Service that hosts and manages the Mobile Money platform, which saves time, complexity and cost for Aircel that would require to set up a mobile payment services. It would offer safe, secure and instant money transfers, including bill payments. Airtel launched the Airtel Money, their own mobile wallet service back in 2011, and launched the Airtel Money Super Account last year, in partnership with Axis Bank. Airtel launches mobile services in Kargil


Airtel has launched mobile services for its customers in Kargil district in Jammu & Kashmir that would offer seamless voice and data connectivity. Airtel has also announced that they are the only private operator to offer mobile connectivity in the region. This would let the native customers and tourists in the region keep in touch with their friends and family in other parts on India even during severe winter. HCL launches ME U2, ME V1 and ME Y3 Android tablets priced between Rs. 5999 and Rs. 11999

HCL has launched three new tablets in India running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The ME U2 is the successor of the ME U1 that was launched last year. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) multi-touch capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor with Mali 400 GPU. The HCL ME V1 comes with a similar 7-inch display, powered by a 1 GHz cortex A8 CPU with GC430 GPU and has 2G voice calling support. The HCL ME Y3 has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby. Samsung Galaxy Young and Galaxy Fame with 1 GHz processor, Android 4.1 announced

Samsung has announced two new Android Smartphones, the Galaxy Young and the Galaxy Fame. These smartphones are powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The Galaxy Young has a 3.27-inch ( 480 × 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and the Galaxy Fame has a 3.5-inch ( 480 × 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. The Galaxy Young has a 3MP rear camera, while the Galaxy Fame comes with a 5MP auto focus camera with LED Flash and a VGA front-facing camera. HTC promises a new sound and Ultrapixel camera with M7 ?

HTC has posted a new info graphic about the Brief History of Photography where they mention the HTC Droid, the company’s first phone for Verizon with an 8MP camera, the HTC Evo 3D with dual cameras for 3D recording, the HTC One X which can click pictures while recording a video. In this list they have teased a new sound and camera experience in 2013. This might be the M7 with a Ultrapixel camera sensor. Idea launches 3G Speed Booster plans for postpaid customers

Idea Cellular has launched new 3G speed booster plans for post-paid customers that would let them enjoy high-speed data throughout their billing cycle. These plans are aimed at high-end data users with unlimited and bill secure plans, so that they need not wait till the next billing cycle to get their original speed back, rather than being throttled to 128 Kbps after the data cap based on the plan. Idea Cellular offers 3G speeds of up to 21.1 Mbps till the respective volume of usage.

Micromax A89 Ninja, a new Android smartphone in the Ninja series is now on sale in India from online retailer Flipkart. It has a 3.97-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz Mediatek MT6577 processor similar to the Micromax A110 and the A90S, that were launched last year . It has a 3 Megapixel rear camera. Asus MeMO Pad 10 press images surface, launching at MWC?

Images of Asus MeMo Pad 10 (ME301T), the company’s upcoming 10-inch Tablet has surfaced online. It is also reportedly on sale in Netherlands and Italy before the official announcement. The specifications of the tablet surfaced last month, and it was rumored to show up in CES 2013. This has a 10.1-inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor similar to the Transformer Pad TF300TG that was launched in India back in September last year. HTC M4 and HTC G2 specs leak out, to be announced after M7?

The HTC M7 is almost confirmed, with them planning the press event at London and NYC on the 19th of February, right before the Mobile World Congress at Barcelona, which is starting on the 25th. But according to some new leaks from the leakmeister, @EVleaks at UnwiredView, HTC is filling up its portfolio with two other devices, the HTC M4 and the HTC G2. By looking at the specs, the HTC M4 looks like a mid to high end device, with possibilities of it being a successor to the HTC One S. It is also interesting to note that the hardware specs somewhat resemble the HTC Windows Phone 8X, while the HTC G2(which bears no similarities to the first Android phone) is supposedly a low end device and a probable successor to the HTC Desire C.

Apple and Samsung are the leading Tablet vendors by shipments in Q4 2012, according to a report by Research Firm IDC (International Data Corporation). The worldwide tablet market grew 75.3% year-over-year in the Q4 2012, with shipments of 52.5 million, compared to 29.9 million units in the Q4 2011. Intel to show off new dual-core Atom-powered Android smartphones at MWC 2013

Intel has announced that they would showcase new Android smartphones powered by their latest dual-core Atom SoC at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 later this month. Intel unveiled the Atom Z2580 Clover Trail+ dual-core platform with a 2 GHz processor, dual 533 MHz PowerVR SGX 544 MP2 GPU at the CES 2013, along with the Atom Z2420 with a 1.2 GHz single-core processor with PowerVR SGX 540 GPU.
