Swipe Telecom has launched their new Android Tablet, Halo Speed. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.5 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) similar to the Swipe Halo Value that was launched back in March. It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera similar to the Halo Value but this comes with 1GB RAM. It has voice calling support and 2G data connectivity. It comes with several pre-loaded apps and has Flash Support 11.1, Olive Office Premium and audio recording. Samsung Galaxy S4 to come in Blue, Red, Purple and Brown color variants


Samsung released the Galaxy S4 last month, but it was only available Black Mist and White Frost color variants. Samsung announced today that they have shipped 10 million Galaxy S4 globally. The company has also announced that the device would be available in new colors including Blue Arctic and Red Aurora, followed by Purple Mirage and Brown Autumn this summer. Samsung Galaxy S4 shipments surpass 10 million in less than one month

Samsung has announced that the Galaxy S4 sales (to sales channels) has crossed 10 million units globally in less than one month after its launch. Mobile data usage nearly doubles in India, thanks to a 3x increase in 3G usage

According to a MBIT index study conducted by Nokia Siemens Networks, the 3G infrastructure provider for most of the networks in India, it has been revealed that the mobile data usage in the country has almost doubled in the period of December 2011 – 2012. The main reason for the increased usage in mobile data is attributed to 3 times increase in usage of 3G mobile data by consumers, mainly from, what operators call, the “A” circles. Apparently, a regular 3G user consumes an average of 434 MB per month while the average amount of data consumed by the 2G user is 115 MB per month. Ultimately, there has been a 92% total increase in the usage of mobile data, with a whopping 196% increase in 3G usage and a 66% increase in 2G usage.

Amazon Appstore for Android v5.0 update brings support 200 countries including India

Amazon has updated their Appstore application for Android to version 5.0 that brings support for nearly 200 countries including India, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa and more. This would now let you download apps from the app store by logging in to the US store using your Indian account. You can also download the free app of the day. Samsung Galaxy Star Duos now available in India for Rs. 4990


Samsung Galaxy Star Duos (GT-S5282),  entry-level Android smartphone is now available India from online retailer Infibeam. It was announced last month along with the Galaxy Pocket Neo and was spotted on the official Samsung website earlier this month. It has a 3-inch (320 x 240 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz  processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 gets a pre-order price in UK, coming in July


Samsung announced the Galaxy Mega 6.3 last month. Online retailer Clove UK has announced that they have started taking pre-orders for the device.  It has a 6.3-inch HD ( 1280 x 720 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED Flash,  a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera and comes with a 3200 mAh battery. Xolo A800 gets the Android Jelly Bean update


Xolo has released the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the A800. The phone was released back in December last year running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Xolo has mentioned it as Android 4.2 on the Facebook page, but it’s actually Android 4.1.1, which comes pre-loaded on Xolo A1000 and the Q800.
