LG unveiled the LG TONE+ (HBS-730), successor of the popular Bluetooth stereo headset LG TONE (HBS-700) last year. The company has launched the new LG Tone Ultra (HBS-800) headset in Korea. LG has announced that it plans to launch the Bluetooth headset in other countries. LG says that the LG TONE headsets, HBS-700 and the HBS-700 have sold over 200 million units globally. HTC has announced the Desire 501, a mid-range smartphone in the Desire series along with the Desire 700 dual sim today in Taiwan. It has a 4.3-inch (480 × 800 pixels) display, powered by a 1.15 GHz dual-core NovaThor U8520 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Sense UI. It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and BSI sensor and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera with 88-degree ultra-wide-angle lens. It has NFC support, but misses dual SIM support present in the Desire 500. HTC has also launched the Desire 601 dual sim and the Desire 300 for the Taiwanese market. It packs a 5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. It has a 8-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash, BSI sensor, 28mm lens, F 2.0 aperture, HTC Zoe and 1080p video recording and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor. It has HTC BlinkFeed home screen and HTC BoomSound with Dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers similar to the HTC Desire 600 dual sim. Motorola took the world by surprise when it unveiled a surprisingly capable sibling to the higher end Moto X. The Moto G as it has been dubbed, brings together a 4.5 inch 720p display, a quad core Snapdragon 400 processor and the promise of fast Android updates to deliver a very compelling experience. The phone ships with Android 4.3 JellyBean onboard but will get an update to 4.4 KitKat in the beginning of 2014. The phone ships in both 8GB and 16GB versions. We saw Samsung and HTC post KitKat kernel sources for their Google Play edition devices yesterday and it has naturally led to the official Android 4.4 KitKat OTA update for both the devices starting its roll out today. Google announced this officially through their Android Google+ account and it seems like the devices will start getting the update anytime now. Both the devices had their own KitKat versions ready for a while now, but the green signal has been officially lit and hence these devices now join the ranks of Nexus 5, nexus 4, 7 and Moto X as the only devices running Android 4.4 KitKat right now.
