Google is introducing a new feature that is aimed at improving the Android experience for those users with hearing loss, called Sound Notifications. The feature will use the smartphones’ microphone, pick up and recognize common household sounds and alert the user via push notifications, camera flash or vibrations.

HMD Global today released its timeline for upgrading its Android
11-ready portfolio to the latest Android OS. The rollout is planned to commence in Q4 2020 starting with Nokia 8.3 5G and the Nokia 5.3. Owners of the Nokia 2.2 and Nokia 8.1 will also be among the first to experience Android 11 this year, said the company.
