Kingston UV400 SSD launched in India starting from Rs. 5999

Kingston has launched its affordable UV400 Solid State Drive in India. It is powered by a four-channel Marvell controller that promises read speeds of up to 550MB/s and write speeds of up to 500MB/s, and is 10x faster than a 7200RPM hard-disk drive (HDD). “Rugged and more reliable and durable than a hard drive, UV400 is built using Flash memory so it’s shock and vibration-resistant and less likely to fail than a mechanical hard drive,” said the company.

Xiaomi Mi Max launching in India on June 30

Xiaomi’s VP just tweeted that “Something BIG is coming to blow you away on 30th June, Indian Mi fans”, along with the video that confirms that the Mi Max will indeed launch in India on June 30th. The phablet with a 6.44-inch 1080p display and  a huge 4850mAh battery was announced in China last month.

YU today announced that it appointed Bharat Singh Malik as the Vice President of Service, Deepak Dahiya as Head of Sales – South and West region and Chandra Kishore as the Head of Sales – North and East region. The new move is aimed at building a robust offline sales network and increasing its focus on customer service. The company launched its YU Yunicorn smartphone recently.

Hyve Mobility, a new company has launched two new Android smartphones – Storm and Buzz in India. The Storm has a 5-inch HD screen and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC, and the Buzz comes with 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor. Both the phones run stock Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and will be upgradable to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) in the future.

It is powered by a 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 SoC and runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) with Oxygen OS 3.0.2. Airtel launches Open Network microsite for customers to check network coverage/signal strength

Airtel announced network transformation program – Project Leap last year, aimed at improving network quality. Later it launched a microsite so that all the customers can see the network coverage for voice, basic data services (2G) and high speed data services (3G/ 4G) in their regions. Today it has launched open network microsite under Project Leap that will allow customers to check if the Airtel mobile network in an area is excellent, good, moderate or non-existent, along with the status of corresponding sites serving the area – existing, required, being upgraded or forcibly shut down. The company already confirmed that the phone go on sale in the country without invites, exclusively through Amazon.in from tomorrow, June 15 at 12:30 AM IST. Today Hindustan Times paper has accidentally published an ad for the phone that reveals the price of the 6GB RAM variant as Rs. 27,999.
