HTC Desire P with 4.3-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core processor announced

HTC has announced the Desire P, a new Android smartphone in Taiwan. It has a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen Super LCD2 display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor. No details about the Android version, but it is likely to run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8MP auto focus camera at the back with LED Flash, BSI sensor for better low-light imaging and comes with Beats audio support. BlackBerry 2013 roadmap leaked , BlackBerry 10 Tablet and Phablet may be in the works

Looks like there is a new BlackBery 10 leak on the inter webs. The BlackBerry Z10 was the first BlackBerry 10 device to be launched along with the Q10  and it was leaked a lot before the official reveal on January 30th. Now some presentation slides have emerged which show a B10 L which might the first BlackBerry 10 tablet. Also we see a U10 which looks like a Phablet/Large screen device. Samsung Galaxy S4 mini confirmed, launching in June?


Samsung Galaxy S4 mini images leaked last week along with specifications. The device has been confirmed in an in-depth article on Samsung by Bloomberg Businessweek, which reveals that the device would launch soon after the launch of Galaxy S4 in April. Xolo B700 with 3450 mAh Battery officially launched for Rs. 8999

Xolo has officially launched the B700, the company’s new Android smartphone with a 3450 mAh battery which offers 363 hours of standby 20 hours of talk time on 3G,  up to 38 hours Music Playback via internal speakers and up to 86 hours via wired headset. Xolo promises 9 hours of video playback while using internal speakers and up to 10.5 hours while using a wired headset. The Xolo B700 went on sale online last week.

Google shipping Nexus 7 India orders from Singapore

The Nexus 7 16GB WiFi version is the first device to be sold officially by Google in India. We brought you the news of the launch yesterday and we have some interesting info to share . The device will be shipped by April 5th 2013 from Singapore ! One of our readers sent us this order receipt which indicates the same. Will Google start selling the Nexus 4 in India soon ?

In an interesting development , Google has listed the Nexus 7 up for sale on the Google Play India store just minutes ago.  This is the first time Google is directly selling a device in India to a customer through its Play store. This might be  a sign of things to come. The Nexus 4 is also hidden on the store but the page says that ” it is not available in your country ” . There has been a lot of speculation about the Nexus 4 launching in India ever since Google started selling one of the most affordable Android 4.2 powered in the US market.

Asus PadFone 2 gets minor software update – improves stability , camera and WiFi performance

Asus is one of the best handset makers to provide timely updates for its Android phones. They launched the PadFone 2 last year with Android 4.0  ICS on board and rolled out an update to Android 4.1 JellyBean last year.Now the PadFone 2 has got a rather minor software update which is expected to make the already awesome PadFone 2 even more stable. There seem to be improvements in overall stability , camera , WiFi and battery life according to the official change log which you can find below.

Samsung Galaxy S3 mini Benchmarks

We unboxed the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini (GT-I8190) earlier this week. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Galaxy S3 mini was announced back in October 2012. It is powered by a dual-core NovaThor U8420 chip clocked at 1 GHz and has a Mali-400 GPU. It has a 4.0-inch (480×800 pixels ) Super AMOLED display at 223 ppi pixel density. Let’s see how the phone performance in the benchmark tests.

Lava International has launched 3 new entry-level Android smartphones, Iris 349, Iris 351 and the Iris 355 in the  Iris range. All these phones come with a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, dual SIM support and run on Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread). These are powered by a 1 GHz single-core processor and have a 2 MP fixed focus camera. Both the Iris 349 and the Iris 351 have 2G EDGE support, and the Iris 355 also comes with 3G support. Karbonn launched the Karbonn A6 and A3 are now available from online retailers Snapdeal and Flipkart in India. The Karbonn A4, which lies between both these phones is listed on Flipkart, but no details about the pricing or the availability yet. All these phones come with dual SIM support, but lack 3G support. The Karbonn A6  comes with a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capactitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The Karbonn A4 has a 4-inch (320 x 480 Pixels) display and the Karbonn A3 comes with a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 Pixels). Both the A4 and the A3 run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
