Zen Mobile has launched the Zen Ultrafone 701 HD, the company’s latest flagship Android smartphone in India. Pre-bookings for the phone started earlier this month. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It packs a a 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, BSI sensor, full HD video recording, Panorama Shot, and Burst shot with upto 99 shots on the go. It has a 3.2 MP front-facing camera and comes with dual SIM support with dual Standby. This is the company’s first high-end smartphone sin the Ultrafone category, and it is aimed at smart and tech savvy youth. Intex Aqua Marvel+, successor of the Aqua Marvel has surfaced on the official Intex website. The Intex Aqua Marvel+ has a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbead), similar to its predecessor, but the Marvel+ has a 5-megapixels camera and the battery capacity is down to 1400 mAh from 1450 mAh. Idea AURUS 2 with 1 GHz processor, Android 4.1 launched for Rs. 6490
Idea Cellular has launched the AURUS 2, successor of the first AURUS phone that was launched last year. It has a 3.5 inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display similar its predecessor, but this runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1 GHz processor, instead of 800MHz processor. It has a 3.2MP rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera for video calling. It is aimed at 3G users in semi-urban and rural markets. Micromax A111 upcoming Canvas series smartphone images, specifications leak
Micromax unveiled the A116 Canvas HD, the company’s latest flagship back in January. Images of the A115 Canvas 3D surfaced earlier this month, now images of the another smartphone in the Canvas series, the Micromax A111 has appeared online. According to MMXNewscaster, the phone would feature a 5.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) display with 5 point multi-touch that would also let you operate the phone with gloves. The phone would be powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225Q processor and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It would come with a 8MP rear camera with dual LED Flash and a 1.2MP front-facing camera. It would also have a 3D Graphics Accelerator. Firefox Smartphone devices to launch in 9 countries starting from June 2013
Smartphone running on the Firefox OS would start shipping in 9 countries including Brazil, Colombia, Hungary, Mexico, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Spain, and Venezuela, according to a recent report from Business Insider. At AllThingsD’s D: Dive Into Mobile conference, Mozilla CEO Gary Kovacs said that the Firefox OS would launch in five countries, but Mozilla PR confirmed to Business Insider that it would be available in 9 countries starting from June 2013. The Samsung Galaxy S4 might be coming to India as soon as April 27th. The Korean smartphone giant is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S4 in several countries across the world on April 26-27th. Samsung launched the much anticipated successor to the Galaxy S3 at a launch event in New York City last month . India is a key market for Samsung and would be getting the flagship Android device pretty soon. It’s been less than a month since the Micromax A51 Blot was spotted on the official Micromax website. It is finally on sale from online retailers Saholic and Snapdeal. It has a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 832 MHz Broadcom processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. It packs a 2 MP rear camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera similar to the A35. Micromax launched the A35 Bolt, the company’s first Android smartphone in the Bolt series back in February. Nokia Lumia 720 up for pre-order on Flipkart for Rs. 18999
Nokia launched the Lumia 720 in India last month along with the Lumia 520. The Lumia 520 went on sale earlier this month. Online retailer Flipkart has put up the Lumia 720 for pre-order at a price tag of Rs. 18,999. It was listed on Flipkart for Rs. 18,499 on Friday, but Flipkart changed the price of the device to Rs. 18,999 yesterday. Nokia Lumia 620 Review
Since the Windows Phone 8 reboot, Nokia has so far launched five devices, with the Lumia 920 and the Lumia 820 launching way back in September 2012, then the Nokia Lumia 620 at LeWeb, and the Nokia Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 at the Mobile World Congress. The portfolio of devices cover almost all the price points of the market, and the Lumia 620 is in that special mid range segment. Same time last year, Nokia had the Lumia 610 as the predecessor to the 620, but the hardware was so lacking(with 256MB of RAM) and Windows Phone 7 was not really up to the mark in terms of market expectations. Fast forward to this year, Windows Phone 8 brings a lot of features and ticks check boxes of most requested features including Bluetooth file transfer, mass storage, support for micro SD cards, NFC tap to send etc and the hardware too has gained some decent specs, with respect to the Lumia 620. Micromax A91 Ninja with 4.5-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core processor now available for Rs. 8499
The Micromax A91 Ninja, a new dual SIM Android smartphone is now on sale from online retailer Saholic. It has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5MP auto focus rear camera and a 0.3 MP (VGA) front-facing camera. This has a TFT LCD display instead of Super AMOLED display in the A90S that was launched last year, but the display resolution and that battery are slightly better. Most of the features are similar to the Karbonn A12 that was launched earlier this year.
