Along with the Xperia Z5, Sony also introduced a new flagship product called the Xperia Z5 Premium and boy is the name apt for the phone. The Z5 Premium is the world’s first smartphone to come with a 4K display. Even in 2015, we have had flagships from various manufacturers with 1080p displays and while many think of 1440p to be overkill, we have Sony here with a 4K display on a smartphone. We went hands on with the device to see whether or not the display really does justice on a smartphone screen and to check out the other aspects of the device.

Global smartphone growth expected to slow, shipments hit 10.4% in 2015 : Report

ARCHOS Diamond S and 50e Helium with Android 5.1, 50 Cesium with Windows 10 announced
ARCHOS has announced its IFA lineup that includes Diamond S and 50e Helium smartphones running on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and the 50 Cesium running on Windows 10. The ARCHOS Diamond S has a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 Octa-Core 64-bit processor, has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The ARCHOS 50e Helium and 50 Cesium have similar specifications that includes a 5-inch HD display, Quad-Core Snapdragon 210 processor, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Wileyfox, a new smartphone brand based in the UK has introduced Storm and Swift, its first set of smartphones running on the latest Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). The Storm has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen and is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC, while the Swift comes with 5-inch HD display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC.
