OPPO has announced the F3 Plus, its latest and greatest in the Selfie Expert lineup. On paper, the F3 Plus seems like a really interesting device especially in terms of the cameras where OPPO has even paid attention to the rear camera despite being a selfie focused smartphone. However, specs are one thing while real life performance is another. We got to spend some time with the device and here are our impressions.

Nextbit started rolling out Android 7.0 (Nougat) for its community beta testers back in November last year. Last month Nextbit released Nougat beta 3 update for the Robin. Now it has started rolling out the final version of the Android 7.0 update for the Robin users globally. The latest build 88 for the Robin also includes January 5, 2017 Android security update. Nintendo has started rolling out Super Mario Run for Android devices, as it had promised. It is available in most countries and should be available in India as well later today. This is directly released as version 2.0, and iOS version has received an update to add these features that include different colored (Green, Red, Blue, Yellow and Purple) Yoshis as a new character. The number 5 seems to be quite problematic for the Koreans. Samsung faced some of the worst reviews ever for a flagship product and one of the worst sales performance in their flagship Galaxy S line-up with the S5. The S5 did bring in some improvements but those were minor and in the process almost made some bad decisions including larger bezels etc. All these small things led to very disappointing sales figures and Samsung knew that had to start afresh. Project Zero was born and eventually resulted in the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge devices which were a huge leap from their preceding model. They were a step in the right direction and Samsung has been doing everything perfectly well with their smartphones since except for the Note7 battery exploding issues which did shake things up a bit but still resulted in one of the most profitable years for Samsung with the S7 series. Apple has introduced Clips, a new video app that allow users to create short videos, by adding photos, filters, music. It takes cues from Snapchat, Instagram and Prisma and lets you make vibrant and creative videos that can be shared with friends the Messages app or popular social networks.

Apple just announced a new 9.7-inch iPad that will replace the iPad Air 2 that was introduced in 2014. It has a the same 9.7-inch Retina display, but this is powered by A9 chip and M9 motion coprocessor. It Touch ID fingerprint sensor and is just 7.5 mm thick. Nintendo released Super Mario Run for iPhone and iPad on December 15th, and the iOS app clocked record 40 million downloads in 4 days of its release. At the end of December the company started pre-registrations for the Android version on Google Play so that you can get notified when the game releases. Earlier this month Google Assistant started rolling out to eligible Marshmallow and Nougat devices. However, the Assistant will be limited to Android phones and will not expand to tablets, as per Android Poli who confirmed the same with Google.
