Google launched the Pixel 11 smartphone globally and in India last week. The Pixel 11 has a brighter screen, comes with a new Tensor G6 SoC, has a and upgraded main camera. Here we have the first impressions of the phone.

The phone has a 6.3-inch FHD+ OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, and this has up to 2000 nits brightness for HDR and up to 3000 nits peak brightness, the same as the Pixel 10. The viewing angles are good, but it still doesn’t have an LTPO panel. It has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, same as the older pixel models.

There is a center punch-hole display that houses a 10.5MP camera with 4K 60 fps video recording, the same as the Pixel 9. Since this is small, it doesn’t disturb when watching videos. The earpiece on the top doubles up as the secondary speaker. The front camera also works for face unlock.

You can also see the tiny bottom bezel, which is symmetrical. It runs Android 17 out of the box. The company has promised 7 years of OS updates, feature drops, and security updates for the phone.
The phone has an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. It has the Google Tensor G6 3nm SoC delivering 25% faster web browsing speeds and 15% quicker app launch times along with Titan M3 security chip. The chip also offers 50% more TPU compute power.
The phone has a satin metal finish on the side, so it doesn’t attract fingerprints. You can see the antenna bands around the phone. The power button and volume rockers are present on the right side. The SIM slot is to the top along with the secondary microphone, and there is eSIM support. The USB Type-C port, microphone, and speaker grill are present on the bottom.

The phone has a refreshed design centered around an edge-to-edge glass camera bar. The camera bar’s thickness has been reduced by 40%, creating a flush appearance when paired with official Made by Google cases and preventing device wobble on flat surfaces.
This has a new 48MP main camera with 56% increased light sensitivity, an f/1.7 aperture, and OIS. The main camera has a macro option. There is a 13MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture sensor and a 10.8MP 5x telephoto camera with an f/3.1 aperture. It has up to 4K 60 fps video recording for the front and rear cameras. It has an extended digital range up to 30x via Tensor G6.

The phone has a polished glass back that is reflective when light hits in certain angles. It also comes in Pistachio, Hibiscus, and Frost, in addition to Obsidian. The phone retains IP68 ratings for water resistance. The phone packs a bigger, 4985mAh battery, compared to the 4970mAh battery in the Pixel 10. It has up to 30W wired fast charging and also has a faster 25W Qi2.2 Pixelsnap wireless charging.
It is already available for pre-order from Flipkart, the Google India online store, and the offline store for Rs. 89,999 for the 256GB model and also comes in 512GB model priced at Rs. 1,04,999. The phone will go on sale from tomorrow, August 20th.
