HTC has stared rolling out Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for Incredible S in India. The Incredible S was launched in India in March 2011 with Android 2.2 (Froyo) and it got the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) update in May 2011. HTC announced the global Android 4.0 update schedule last month and started rolling out Android 4.0 update for Sensation XL and Evo 3D in India last month. Samsung has officially launched the Omnia M, their new Windows Phone handset in India. It went on sale in India last week from Samsung eStore. It packs in a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) Super AMOLED display, 1 GHz processor and 5 MP Auto focus camera with LED Flash and a VGA video calling camera. Motorola has announced the i867 Ferrari smartphone with Push to Talk in Brazil in partnership with Nextel. The phone’s design is inspired by the Ferrari 458 Italia and the back cover is designed to resemble the hood of the car.

At the Mobile Benchmarking Workshop here in San Francisco , Qualcomm showed off it’s next generation Quadcore mobile processor – the Snapdragon S4 Pro (APQ 8064) . And guess what Qualcomm just did not make just a boring announcement about a chipset and that the devices using the chip will be in the market later this year. But , Qualcomm let us use a tablet (prototype obviously ) which uses the new quadcore chip with 4 Krait cores along with the new Adreno 320 GPU. NVIDIA has announced that they would bring support for Miracast, open wireless display standard that was announced earlier this May. It would let Tegra 3 users to instantly stream content including photos and HDTVs to any Miracast-enabled display. The quad-core Tegra 3 chip would also let you stream intensive games such as ShadowGun THD which is Tegra 3-optimized game on to HDTVs. INTEX has launched i-Buddy tablet, their second Android tablet. They launched the iTab, 8-inch Android tablet earlier this March which got a price cut in May. This new INTEX i-Buddy tab has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and is just 9mm thick. LG announced the Quick Voice, their own intelligent voice recognition app for Optimus devices last month. The company has now renamed it to Q Voice. This voice recognition app would let the users call contacts, on the address book, set alarm, set appointments on the calendar and open apps, open maps to view directions, check weather forecasts, stocks, open YouTube videos and much more using voice commands.
