Jump games launches official ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2012 game

Jump Games has launched the official mobile game of ICC T20 WORLD CUP 2012 for Android, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry and Java phones. This game lets you play T20 cricket in Challenge mode or quick match. The games are also scheduled according to the ICC schedule for the World Cup in Sri Lanka – recreating the closest replica of the real world cup. You can also participate in the Jump Games online cricket quiz to stand a chance to win ticket to see the ICC T20 WORLD CUP 2012 live. We just heard from Asus India that they are launching the kick ass Asus Padfone along with the Transformer Pad TF300T  in India next week. The PadFone is a innovative concept from Asus , a phone which can fit inside a tablet and you can use the phone like a tablet. If you wonder will you take calls when the phone is docked inside the tablet , it comes with a interesting bluetooth headset for the same.

Apple iPhone 5 Prices Compared across the World

Apple unveiled the iPhone 5 few hours back, and announced that it would go one sale in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the UK on Friday, September 21. While they have only released the contract pricing for the US, they have announced the contract-free pricing for other countries. We decided to do a comparison of the price of the iPhone 5 in Canada, France,  Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK and convert them to Indian Rupees INR. It would go on sale in 22 more countries on September 28 and is expected in 100 countries with 240 carriers by December 2012. So, India might get the iPhone before that. Nokia Lumia 900 now available in India for Rs. 32999


Nokia Lumia 900 finally goes on sale in India as they promised. The Nokia Lumia 900 with LTE support was originally launched exclusively for AT&T in the U.S. and it was announced for the global markets at MWC earlier this year.  The Lumia 900 packs in a 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display and is powered by 1.4GHz single-core processor. Apple iPhone 5 Unlocked Prices for USA Revealed

When Apple launched the iPhone 5 yesterday , only contract pricing for the device was revealed for the US market, starting from $199 for the 16GB version ,  $299 for the 32GB version and $399 for the 64GB version. We did tell you about the Unlocked iPhone 5 prices for UK and Singapore . But now the Apple US site is displaying some prices for the iPhone which seems like the prices for the unlocked versions. It might also be a typo as these were the prices at which the iPhone 4S was available previously.

It is powered by Android 2.2 and lets you to privately view video, experience side-by-side 3D content, play games and enjoy content on a floating see-through display. It has 6 hours of rechargeable battery life and has a 1GB of internal memory with an additional microSD card slot. It also has WiFi connectivity and Adobe flash support to stream online videos. Apple iPhone 5 Launch Countries and Rollout

Apple will be launching the iPhone on September 21 in 9 countries – Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, the US and the UK.  Apple will begin taking pre-orders in these countries this Friday September 14. Interestingly UK, Singapore and Hong Kong are countries in which Apple sells iPhones at the full price and mostly unlocked.  If you plan to be one of the 1st to own the iPhone 5 and live outside the US, may be you should ping your friends in these 3 countries or may be take an iVacation. Apple iPhone 5 Singapore Prices are Revealed , starts from S$948

Singapore is one of the few countries getting the iPhone 5 on launch day September 21 and Singapore is one of those markets where Apple directly sells unlocked iPhones on it’s online store to consumers.  The 16GB iPhone 5 is expected to cost 948 SGD (Singapore Dollars).  Apple will start taking Pre-orders on September 14.

Apple iPhone 5 with 4 inch display announced, Ships on 21st September

Apple has finally announced the iPhone 5, successor of the iPhone 4S. It has a larger 4-inch display with 16:9 aspect ratio, that varies from earlier iPhones. It packs in a Apple A6 Processor and a better graphic engine.

The back of the phone has been  redesigned with dual tone aluminum while the front retains the glass as seen on the iPhone 4S. The phone is much thinner at just 7.6 mm. It weighs only 122 grams.It runs on iOS 6 and comes with 4G LTE support. It has an improved battery that offers 10 hours of 4G talktime and 8 hours of 3G talktime. Evolution of the iPhone – Video Feature

Call me crazy but I still have my 1st iPhone which I got in 2007 and guess what ? it still works. As we are expecting the next iPhone later today, we decided to bring all the iPhones to the FoneArena labs for a little geeky celebration and sit back and think how the iPhone has evolved over the years.We put together this lttile video while killing time counting-down for the iPhone 5 or what ever Apple decides to call it.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update to roll out starting from October, update for Galaxy S2 in November


Samsung Denmark has released a schedule for upcoming updates for several Samsung Devices. The table indicates that the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) upgrade would be rolled out for Galaxy S3 in October or November 2012. The Samsung Galaxy S2 would get the update in November 2012. The Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update would bring faster performance, Google Now service, contextual search, Better notifications and more new features. Airtel launches Smartdrive mobile app with real time traffic information and Voice-based Navigation

Airtel is on a spree of launching mobile apps. They launched the my airtel app to pay bills and manage services. Now, they have launched Smartdrive app that offers real-time traffic information and voice based turn by turn navigation upon subscription. Motorola has started rolling out Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) for the Motorola Atrix 2 owners in India. It was launched in India back in March, and we reviewed it in July. Sony Xperia miro up for pre-order in India for Rs. 14499

Sony Xperia miro is now available for pre-order from online retailer Flipkart in India. It was announced in June and packs in a 3.5-inch (320×480 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, 800 MHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). 4G LTE Speed Test on EE featuring the Galaxy S3 LTE and Ascend P1 LTE

Today’s announcement by EE on the arrival of 4G LTE in the UK heralds a new era in this Britain’s telecommunication industry. It’s been a long time waiting, and judging by the initial hands on demonstration, it seems that it will be worth the wait.

Huawei’s Ascend P1 and the Samsung Galaxy S3 were two of the few handsets on display at the EE press conference today. Initial speed test shows that the devices were capable of achieving and maintaining 25+Mbps download and 12+Mbps upload speed, a fair upgrade over T-Mobile’s current 3G network.

No price plans has been announced yet. The rollout of EE’s 4G LTE network will begin this year and they aim to cover 1/3rd of the population by the end of the year.
