Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update to roll out starting from October, update for Galaxy S2 in November

Samsung Denmark has released a schedule for upcoming updates for several Samsung Devices. The table indicates that the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) upgrade would be rolled out for Galaxy S3 in October or November 2012. The Samsung Galaxy S2 would get the update in November 2012. The Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update would bring faster performance, Google Now service, contextual search, Better notifications and more new features.

Samsung announced the Galaxy S3 in May with ICS-onboard, that launched in India at the end of May. The Samsung Galaxy S2 received the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update in India in May.

Samsung Denmark says that the dates are tentative and not confirmed yet. The roll out might vary based on the region and operators. The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 firmware leaked few days back, so we can expect the update soon. There are no details about the Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Note or the Galaxy Note 10.1.

Samsung promised the Android 4.0 update for the Galaxy devices Q1 2012, but it was only released in Q2 2012. Can we expect the Jelly Bean update for the S2 and S3 at least within Q4 2012 ? Only time will tell.
