Nokia confirms Lumia 900 connectivity bug, to offer $100 credit and a software update
Nokia has confirmed a software issue in the Lumia 900 that results in loss of data connectivity for the AT&T customers. Nokia says this is due to memory management issue that would be fixed by a software update and not due to a the phone hardware or the network. AT&T and Nokia has announced that Nokia Lumia 900 would be available exclusively in the U.S. from them on April 8 for $99.99. Nokia and AT&T announced the Lumia 900 with AT&T’s 4G LTE support at CES 2012 in January. The Nokia Lumia 900 has 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 processor. It has 8 MP camera on the back with Nokia’s Carl Zeiss optics and a front-facing camera which was missing in the 800. It runs on Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) and has 1830 mAh battery. Nokia might have shipped over 1 million Lumia smartphones last year
Bloomberg reports that if analyst figures are to be believed , the Nokia Lumia series of handsets might have shipped in excess of 1million handsets so far. The figure was achieved by taking an average of the input from 22 different analysts , in other words it should be taken with a pinch of salt.
