Huawei has confirmed that the company would launch the Ascend Mate in India soon priced under Rs. 30,000. Huawei unveiled the Ascend Mate along with the Ascend D2 earlier this year at the CES 2013. The Ascend Mate has a 6.1-inch 720p display, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Hi-Silicon K3V2 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s EmotionUI 1.5 on top. It’s been barely a week since Samsung launched the Galaxy S4 in India and the device has already got a software update via OTA.The update brings stability improvements to the S4 and looks like an initial bug fix update.The phone is already running on Android 4.2.2 and this looks like a low level firmware update and not an OS update. Zync has launched the Quad 10.1, the company’s new Android tablet with a 10.1-inch (1920 x 1200) Full HD display. The company launched 3 new tablets, Dual 7.0, Quad 8.0 and Quad 9.7 tablets running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) back in March. We revieed the Quad 9.7 that has a 9.7-inch display at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, similar to the iPad’s Retina’s display. The Zync Quad 10.1 is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel auto focus camera on the back and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. iBall Andi 5L with 5-inch display gets priced at Rs. 10490, Andi 5Li coming soon
iBall Andi 5L, the company new Android smartphone in the Andi series is priced at Rs. 10,490 on online retail site Flipkart. This would be the company’s second Android smartphone with a 5-inch display after the Andi 5c that was released last August. Andi 5Li, an upgraded version of the Andi 5L has been spotted on the official iBall website. Both the Andi 5L and the 5Li would come with a 5-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display and powered by a dual-core 1GHz Cortex A9 processor. The Andi 5L runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and the Andi 5Li is expected to come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) on-board. These phones would also have dual SIM support. Barnes and Noble Nook HD and Nook HD+ get Google Play and Google Services
Barnes and Noble released the Nook HD and Nook HD+ tablets back in September last year starting at $199 and $269, respectively. The company has announced that these tablets would get Google Play Store app that would let users enjoy over 700,000 Android apps and games, millions of songs and more. In addition these would also include Google services like the Chrome browser, Gmail, YouTube, Google Search and Google Maps. Spice Stellar Slatepad Mi-725 that surfaced on the official website is now on sale from online retailer Saholic. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS. It comes with a 3.2-megapixel auto focus rear camera and has a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 3G and voice calling support via SIM card slot. Videocon A45 and A51, the company’s new Android smartphones are on sale from online retailer Snapdeal. The Videocon A45 has a 5-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz single-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Sony Honami Cyber-shot camera phone to use a 1/1.6″ Exmor RS sensor ?
Details of the Sony Honami and Togari surfaced earlier this week. The phone is rumored to come with a 16MP or a 20MP Cyber-shot CMOS sensor with Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash and a dual LED flash. Now new details of the phone has emerged that reveals that the phone would have a 1/1.6″ Exmor RS stacked sensor with Sony Cybershot G Lens. It would have a Xenon or dual-LED flash, and plasma flash is also being considered.The camera would have a new user interface, new processing algorithm, similar to Sony’s Cyber-shot digital cameras and Superior Auto Scene Recognition feature, an enhancement to the Superior Auto mode in the Xperia Z/ZL.

HTC M4 press image surfaces, has the HTC One design and UltraPixel camera
The HTC M4 first leaked out back in February earlier this year. Thanks to evleaks, press image of the HTC M4 has surfaced that reveals that the phone would have a similar unibody design like the HTC One that was announced back in February. The phone would come with a 4.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display and a dual-core Snapdragon CPU as the earlier rumor suggested. It is also expected to come with a UltraPixel rear camera with LED Flash similar to the HTC One and Beats audio support support, but it would pack a 1700 mAh battery. Vine for iPhone v1.1 update brings mentions and option to use front-facing camera
Twitter has updated the Vine video sharing app for iPhone to version 1.1 that brings option to use the front-facing camera to record videos. You can just tap the button in the bottom left corner to switch to front-facing camera. The new version also brings option to tag people in your post using, just like you do on twitter.
