WhatsApp has added new Starred messages feature in the latest beta version of the Android app. This lets you star a message, which is similar to bookmarking, so that you can find it easily later. To star a message, you need to tap and hold on a message in a chat. This feature was released for iPhone last month. This was first reported by Android Police on Tuesday. Micromax is all set to launch Canvas Mega E353 and Canvas Amaze Q395, two new Android smartphones in the Canvas series. The Canvas Mega E353 is already available from online retailers such as eBay. As the name of the phone indicates, the Canvas Mega has a huge 5.5-inch HD screen. It packs an Oct-Core MediaTek processor, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and has a leather-like back cover. The Canvas Amazon Q395 has a slightly smaller 5-inch HD screen, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Micromax just launched Canvas 5, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the Canvas series, as it promised. It has a 5.2-inch 1080p 2.5D curved screen with slim bezels, is powered by a 1.3GHz 64-bit Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor with Mali-T720 GPU and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), which is upgradable to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) in future. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) to focus in 0.2 seconds and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with selfie flash for capturing better images in poor lighting conditions. Firefox has updated its Android app to version 42 that brings several new features, including Tracking Protection for Private Browsing. This feature is also available for Firefox for Windows, Mac and Linux that actively blocks content like ads, analytics trackers and social share buttons that may record your behavior without your knowledge across sites. Opera has updated its Android app to version 33 that brings new features, including new video compression feature, which shrinks the size of online videos. It also gets pull to refresh for discover, updated video controls and various UI, stability and usability improvements. Opera Mini has also been updated to version 12 adding new features. Samsung has launched the Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 smartphones in the new On series. The Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 smartphones have 5-inch and 5.5-inch HD displays, respectively. The Galaxy On5 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor and has a 8-megapixel rear camera, while the Galaxy On7 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor Snapdragon 410 processor and has a 13-megapixel rear camera.
