vivo has officially introduced its latest flagship smartphone lineup, the vivo X500 Pro series, comprising the vivo X500 Pro and the vivo X500 Pro Max. Launched alongside other ecosystem products, the new devices debut MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, upgraded Zeiss optical systems, advanced display hardware, and substantial battery capacities.
Display and Build
The vivo X500 Pro series is available in four colorways: Sunny Day, Sunset Glow, Night Photography, and Earth Echo.
Both handsets feature panels constructed with Q11 luminescent material developed in partnership with BOE. The displays incorporate LTPO 8T backplane technology supporting adaptive refresh rates up to 144Hz, hardware-level minimum brightness down to 1 nit, circular polarization 2.0, adaptive dimming, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and SGS low blue light certification.
- Vivo X500 Pro: Houses a 6.36-inch display designed for a more compact footprint.
- Vivo X500 Pro Max: Features a larger 6.85-inch 2K Zeiss Master Color Screen, incorporating Vivo’s custom high-sensitivity automatic brightness adjustment algorithm.
Processing Performance and Core Hardware
The X500 Pro lineup is the first globally to adopt MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro flagship platform. The chipset works in tandem with Vivo’s proprietary imaging and tracking engines to handle advanced computational photography, multi-frame processing, and sustained performance.
Camera Systems and Optical Upgrades
Both models integrate a Zeiss ultra-dynamic primary camera system equipped with VCS 4.0 spectral technology, Zeiss T* coating, and deep-absorption blue glass. The primary array also debuts the BlueTouch 900 sensor, delivering an operational dynamic range rated up to 17EV.
Vivo X500 Pro Max
The Pro Max integrates a Zeiss 200MP APO super-telephoto camera powered by a 1/1.4-inch Blueprint × Samsung HP0 sensor. Key imaging features include:
- Hardware-level 4x in-sensor zoom (ISZ).
- Support for an equivalent 400mm Zeiss G2 Ultra teleconverter.
- High-speed motion capture powered by a proprietary 60fps frame rate pipeline, a Blueprint high-refresh tracking engine, and the NICE algorithm engine.
- Industry-first telephoto tracking technology, scheduled to roll out via an over-the-air (OTA) update.
vivo X500 Pro
The X500 Pro includes a dedicated Zeiss APO super-telephoto lens using a Blueprint × Sony LYTIA 610 sensor, tuned to an 85mm portrait focal length.
