Motorola has finally started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the 2015 Moto G (3rd gen) smartphone starting from the U.S and Canada. HTC just announced the One X9 smartphone, the company’s latest mid range smartphone in the new ‘One X’ series, as it promised. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display and is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 processor. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, BSI sensor, optical image stabilization (OIS) that can detect shake in 0.125 milliseconds, 4K video recording and RAW image capture. Android version is not clear yet, but there are chances that it might be running on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), similar to the One A9. Samsung has rolled out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) beta update for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge users in the UK. This update is available only for those who have joined the beta testing. LG today announced that the sales of its V10 smartphone has crossed 4,50,000 units in the US in just 45 days after the launch. It was launched in the US at the end of October and went on sale across major US carriers in early November. In the US it sold at the rate of 10,000 units per day on average, said the company. Commenting on the sales, it said that it was popular among the younger generation, with 37% of its US consumers aged between 25 and 34.

Samsung just announced the Galaxy A9, the company’s latest top-end smartphone in the ‘Galaxy A’ series at an event in China. It packs a 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and 2.74mm narrow frame, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 (Previously 620) processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. HTC launched the One A9 smartphone in India earlier this month for Rs. 29990. Here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. Even though CPU-Z shows it as Snapdragon 615, the One A9 is actually powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 64-bit processor that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.52 GHz per core and other four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.21 GHz per core, faster than the Snapdragon 615. It has Adreno 405 GPU. It has a 3GB of RAM, 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with HTC Sense UI. Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.
