It was reported earlier this week that Apple will ditch the Lightning connector on the iPhone 8. Now, a fresh report from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that the next generation iPhone will retain the Lightning port. In addition, the iPhone 8 will adopt USB-C Power Delivery technology for super-fast charging speeds. Apple planning to improve speaker quality on future iPhones

Apple is most likely ditching the 3.5mm audio jack in favour of their own lightning port and the launch of several audio products with lightning ports at CES 2016 was just a confirmation of that. While that maybe disappointing to many, there is another rumour that will probably excite you. Apple is apparently planning to improve the quality of the speakers in the future iPhone lineup.

Apple iPhone 7 might not have a 3.5mm audio jack

Earlier last year, we had reported that the upcoming iPhone 7 from Apple might not have a dedicated audio port. That rumour seems to have gotten more credibility now as apparently a supplier has confirmed the same.
