LeEco (formerly known as Letv) introduced the company’s flagship Le Max Pro smartphone as the first smartphone to be announced with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 820 processor and Qualcomm Sense ID Fingerprint technology. It was announced back in October last year as the global variant of the DROID Turbo 2 and packs a 5.4-inch Quad HD AMOLED screen, is powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor, runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) and has a 3760mAh battery. LeEco (formerly known as Letv) launched the Le 1s smartphone in India last month at a price tag of Rs. 10,999. Flipkart today announced that it has received over 5,30,000 lakh registrations for the Le 1s smartphone within 10 days after registration opened. Chinese smartphone shipments grew 3 percent annually to hit a record 438 million units in 2015, according to the latest report from Strategy Analytics. Xiaomi maintained the top spot by shipping 17.5 million smartphones and captured 15 percent market share in China in Q4 2015, up 11 percent annually.
Apple is planning to sell refurbished iPhones in India and is seeking approval from the Government for the same, according to a latest report from the Indian Express. The company is also planning to set up a facility in the country to restore used mobiles shipped from China.
