Microsoft officially kills Project Astoria tool for porting Android apps to Windows 10

Microsoft has officially confirmed that it is shutting down Project Astoria tool that allowed developers to port their existing Android apps to Windows 10 easily. The company had announced its plans to launch tools for developers to quickly port Android and iOS apps to Windows 10 earlier this April.

LG G5 launching in India in Q2 2016

LG unveiled its flagship G5 smartphone with a modular design along with Friends companion devices at the MWC in Barcelona earlier this week. Today LG has announced that the smartphone will launch in India in the next quarter, soon after the global launch in April. The G5 has a 5.3-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD Quantum always-on display that lets you can check the time, battery status, and notifications without waking the phone. Ringing Bells announces cash on delivery for Freedom 251 orders

Ringing Bells today announced that it will be accepting Cash on Delivery (COD) for the customers who ordered the Rs. 251 Freedom 251 smartphone last week. Earlier this week the company said that it received over 6.17 crore registrations (over 60 millions) for the smartphone in total, few days after the payment gateway crashed after 30,000 transactions in day 1. Now it said that is in the process of compiling emails and will be issuing this to first 25 lakh registrations soon.

Evernote for iOS updated with mobile web clippings, shortcut tools and more

Evernote has updated its iOS app for iPhone and iPad with a bunch of new features and improvements. The update that bumps the app to version 7.11 adds mobile web clippings, new keyboard shortcuts on the iPad, and additional shape recognition in sketch mode.
