Yahoo Weather for Android

Yahoo! released a new Yahoo! Weather app for iPhone back in April. Now the new weather app is available for Android as an update. This brings lot of new features including weather information and forecasts along with photos that match your location, Interactive radar, satellite, heat, and wind map. It also has new home screen widgets. You can swipe vertically for detailed weather information and swipe horizontally for favorite locations.

Asphalt 8: Airborne for Android, iPhone and iPad to finally launch on August 22

The wait for Gameloft’s most awaited racing game seems to go on forever after it was delayed once. On August 8th, when Google demoed their new Nexus 7, they did it in style by taking Gameloft’s Asphalt 8 and showing off the device’s ability to handle high end graphics. Gameloft announced the game back in June with the first trailer.

It has a 5-inch (480×800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) Other features are similar to its predecessor including  dual SIM support with dual standby and supports 2G (EDGE) connectivity. LG rumored to produce Nexus 5 at Nexus 4’s price point

Rumors are floating high about who will be producing the next Nexus device. Earlier this year, we had rumors that LG would be the one to produce it, but recent rumors indicate that Motorola would be doing it. But new reports from South Korean website, MyDrivers point to LG as the producer of next Nexus.

SwiftKey Cloud Beta updated with bug fixes and improvements

SwiftKey released v4.2 Cloud Beta few weeks back with backup and sync and trending phrases feature. Now the company has released an update to the app that brings lot of improvements and bug fixes. These fixes includes better responsiveness for flow predictions, crash fixes in cloud preference and Gmail personalization and lots more. Even though there are lot of fixes, it also has some known issues, which would eventually be fixed in the final release. Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 vs Galaxy Note 2

Samsung opened the doors of the phablet industry with their original Galaxy Note and now are expanding their lineup of devices with even bigger phablets – Galaxy Mega series.

The Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 was launched at the end of May while the Galaxy Note 2 was launched earlier last year in September. Both the devices are completely different except the fact that they are phablets and have 5.5inch + displays. The Galaxy Note 2 is almost at the end of the product cycle with Note 3 announcement around the corner.

HTC One Max press image leaks online

HTC has been having a tough time keeping its big “One Max” under the wraps. The HTC One Max is expected to be HTC’s entry into the phablet market and will directly take on Samsung Galaxy Note series which is also due a refresh in the coming month. So far, we have had some photos about the alleged HTC One Max going about the internet and HTC have officially teased the launch of HTC One Max with a teaser video, now we have a supposed press image courtesy of popular leakster @evleaks.

Is Motorola making the next Google Nexus?

Rumours of a Motorola made Nexus device were ripe once Google acquired the mobile giant, but plans never solidified, citing reasons like “Google not impressed with Moto’s devices” etc. With LG taking charge of the program last year with the Nexus 4, Motorola was left to work on the Moto X, a Google inspired smartphone that is possibly the first device to come out of this acquisition. But this was no Nexus, it didn’t run the latest operating system nor updates will be pushed by Google, so yet again we were deprived of a Moto Nexus, but if recent rumours are to be believed, especially coming from a prolific tipster from Texas(where Motorola assembles its Moto X), the chances of Motorola making the next Nexus 5 device are rather high.

Micromax Canvas 4 vs Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos

Samsung and Micromax have had a lot of success in the Indian smartphone market. Today we have Micromax’s latest flagship device – Canvas 4 and Samsung’s very famous smartphone in India – Galaxy Grand (GT-I9082). The Canvas 4 was launched in early July while Galaxy Grand was released way back in January earlier this year.
