Kobian has launched the mTAB 10, a new 10.1-inch tablet in India. It has a 10.1 inch (1024 x 600 pixels) LED-backlit 16:9 capacitive multi-touch screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It  has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It is 11.6mm thick, has 1GB DDR3 RAM, 8GB of storage and supports 32GB extendable memory through Micro SD card. HTC One Android 4.3 OTA Update starts rolling out in Taiwan

The HTC One might have launched way back in February but it still remains the flagship phone for the company, and with it being a flagship comes the responsibility of fast updates. We have seen the Android 4.2.2 update roll out first in Taiwan, in the month of July, and now we are seeing the latest Android 4.3 update roll out for the HTC One again, in Taiwan, starting today. Android 4.3 is still the latest version of the vastly popular operating system and considering that even the Nexus devices run on this version, HTC and other OEMs have made good time on the updates.

Amazon introduces new Fire OS 3.0 ‘Mojito’

Along with the launch of new series of Kindle Fire tablets, Amazon also announced a newer version of the OS they use on their Kindle Fire devices – Fire OS 3.0 ‘Mojito’. The Fire OS is built upon Android OS and has been designed in a such a way that it makes the most of Amazon’s rich ecosystem of media and books. Fire OS 3.0 will be available exclusively for the new Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HDX tablets.

LINE messenger for Android and iPhone updated with Video calls, Albums and more

Line Messenger Video Calls

LINE, a cross-platform messaging app from a Japanese Internet Company was officially launched in India back in July. The app has received a major update for iPhone and Android to version 3.9, that brings a lot of new features including option to make and receive video calls, Albums feature that lets you create and edit photo albums with a friend or in groups and more. The iPhone app has Snap Movie function to add BGM to short videos and send them to your friends.

New features in LINE for Android and iPhone v3.9.0

  • Make and receive Video Calls
  • Snap Movie function lets uses create their own original video clip (up to 10 seconds), add BGM and share it with other LINE users (Only for iPhone)
  • Albums lets you create and edit photo albums with a friend or in groups. Anyone in the group can add new photos to the album or delete existing ones.
  • Now you can set privacy settings for each post on your Home/Timeline to limit its audience.
  • Now you can remove friends from your Blocked or Hidden lists.

The new iPhone version also adds support for iOS7 and also allows you to forward videos received in chats to other groups or friends. Video calls feature is also available for Mac app. Snap Movie feature would be available for Android soon. The app is also available for Windows Phone and BlackBerry.

Samsung Galaxy S4 vs LG Optimus G Pro

Today we have the Samsung’s current flagship, the Galaxy S4 and LG’s first phablet – Optimus G Pro. Samsung’s Galaxy S4 was announced in March and has been available in the market since April while the G Pro was announced in February, but has been available in the market only since July. Both the devices pack powerful processors under their Full HD display. The Galaxy S4’s more fierce competitor is the newly launched LG G2 and we will be bringing you that comparison pretty soon.

FIFA 14 for Android, iPhone and iPad released globally

FIFA 14 started rolling out for the iOS devices starting from New Zeland last week. Now the game is available for Android and iOS users globally. The new FIFA game has enhanced graphics than the previous versions and has licensed real football leagues, teams, and players. Android Device Manager updated with remote locking feature

Google launched their Android Device Manager at the starting of August. At launch, Android Device Manager had the features to make your phone ring at full volume in case you had misplaced it, to map the location of the device and to quickly erase all the data from phone in case of theft or other situations.

Panasonic T11, T21 and P11 officially launched in India, priced between Rs. 9790 and Rs. 16490


Panasonic India has officially launched three new smartphone, T11 and T21 in the T Series and P11 in the P Series. The company launched their first smartphone, the P51 in India back in May. The P11 and T11 appeared online back in July and went on sale last week.  The  Panasonic T11 comes with a 4-inch WVGA  (480×800 pixels) display, Panasonic T21 has a 4.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and the Panasonic P11 comes with a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. Both the T11 and P11 comes are powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor, while the T21 has a 1.2 GHz dual-core Broadcom 28145 processor. Oppo N1 announced, comes with a 5.9 inch full HD screen, 13 MP rotating swivel camera and rear touch panel

Oppo have finally revealed all the details of their latest camera centric flagship device – the Oppo N1. The N1 was announced at an event in Beijing amidst much expectations, as we had detailed ours a while back. It has a 5.9 inch full HD resolution IPS display, a O-Touch rear sensor for single handed touch interaction on the back and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Quad Core processor. At 5.9 inches, the device is huge and as a result, sports a massive 3610 mAH battery too. But the main USP is a 13 Megapixel Sony EXMOR RS Stacked CMOS Sensor camera, with a f2.0 aperture six element lens that sits on a rotating swivel and turns 206 degrees!

Oppo N1 launches today – what to expect

Ever since we heard of the confirmation that Oppo is launching a new camera-centric flagship device called the Oppo N1, we have been genuinely excited to see what kind of camera innovation the company is going to bring forward. After the confirmation of the product, the company had released an array of teasers, which have revealed quite a lot about the device that is going to launch today. Incidentally, today, or perhaps five years back, was the same day the first ever Android phone(HTC Dream G1) released, and Oppo’s event today is a gentle nod, how cool is that!

LG Vu 3 with 5.2-inch HD 4:3 display, Snapdragon 800 processor announced

LG has officially announced the Vu 3, the company’s latest smartphone in the Vu series. It has a a 5.2-inch (1280 x 960 pixels) HD + IPS display at 4:3 aspect ratio, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front-facing camera. Even though the phone has a larger display, the size of the phone would be similar, and is just 0.2 inches larger than it’s predecessor, says the company.
