Back in December last year HP launched three tablets in the US, including the HP Slate7 Plus at a price tag of $149.99. Now the company has launched HP 7 Plus, a WiFi-only tablet in the US at even cheaper price tag of just $99.99 (Rs. 5875 approx.). It has a 7-inch  (1024 × 600 pixels) multi touch LED-backlit IPS display, powered by a 1 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Lava Iris Pro 20 Unboxing

Lava had launched their Iris Pro 30 sometime in January earlier this year and now they have launched a slightly toned down version of it in the form of Lava Iris Pro 20. The Lava Iris Pro 20 retains the distinctive iPhone like build quality, but comes with a relatively low resolution qHD display and a toned down 0.3MP front camera instead of the 3MP camera in the Iris Pro 30.

Nokia X2 Android smartphone with dual-core Snapdragon 200 SoC, home button reportedly in the works

Nokia X, the company’s first Android smartphone based on Android Open Source Project (AOSP) was launched in India back in March. Nokia X+ and the Nokia XL were launched in India earlier this week. A render of the upcoming Nokia X2 smartphone has surfaced on a Chinese website along with AnTuTu scores that reveals that is has a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 (MSM 8210) processor. All the X series devices are powered by 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 play (MSM8225) SoC. Lenovo has announced that it would start rolling out Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for both Vibe X and Vibe Z smartphones in the Vibe series starting from the last week of May in India. It launched the Vibe X, the first phone in the Vibe series in India last year for Rs. 25999. It has received a price cut and would be available for Rs. 22,999. It has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core processor with Mali 450 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It is just 7.9mm thick. Google files patent for laptop with built-in smartphone dock

Google had filed a patent for a laptop with built in smartphone device in 2012. According to reports, US patent 8,649,821 has been approved in February this year that shows a smartphone that can be detachable from a laptop. The patent do not mention anything specifically, but we may soon be seeing a laptop in the market that runs on Chrome OS which can work with an Android smartphone. Smartphone’s data connection can be used to access the internet on the laptop on the go. However, major smartphones support WiFi hotspot feature for this use. Nokia X+ and Nokia XL launched in India for Rs. 8399 and Rs. 11489

At the Nokia X launch in March, Nokia promised to launch both the Nokia XL and X+ within 60 days.  Today, Microsoft devices (previously Nokia) has launched both these smartphones in India. These were was announced at the Mobile World Congress 2014 at Barcelona in February. The Nokia X+ runs on Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and looks similar to the Nokia X, but this packs 768MB of RAM, instead of 512 MB on the Nokia X. Kingston microDuo USB OTG Pendrive Review

Kingston introduced the DataTraveler microDuo, its first USB OTG Pendrive for Android smartphones in March. It went on sale in India last month and comes in 8GB to 64GB variants. Unlike the standard pen drives, this has a built-in micro USB slot to connect it to Android smartphones or tablets with USB OTG (On-The-Go) support. This would be more useful for users with smartphones that has limited memory and lacks a microSD card slot such as Moto G. Is the device worth the price? Let us find out. LG L35 with 3.2-inch display, dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor listed on official website

LG unveiled the L Series III devices, the L40, L70 and L90 at the MWC 2014. It also showcased the L65 and the L35 at the event, but it didn’t officially announce them. The LG L65 Dual went on sale in Russia last month, now the LG L35, an entry-level Android smartphone with 3G support is listed on the official German website. The single SIM variant of the L65 that surfaced online last month has also been listed on the website. Google’s Android Silver may launch Feb 2015, Snapdragon 810-powered LG handset to be one of the first?

There were rumors at the end of last month that Google is replacing its Nexus line of devices with high-end Android Silver phones. Last week, Chromium code of Nexus 6 and Nexus 8 were spotted online on the Code Review page. Today, popular Twitter leaker @evleaks has revealed that Google is planning to scrap its Nexus line and hence we will not see a Nexus 6.

Epson releases Print Enabler app for printing on Android KiKat devices
