Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 Android 4.4 KitKat update starts rolling out

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) update for the Galaxy Mega 6.3 (GT-I9200) starting from Russia, according to Sammobile. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 got the KitKat update in January,  Galaxy S4 got the update in February and the Galaxy Note 2 got the update earlier this month in India. Internal documents that got leaked recently revealed that the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Mega 6.3 would get the KitKat update in June, but Samsung has rolled out the update earlier than expected. Google Camera 2.2 update brings new panorama modes, timer and more

Google has started rolling out a new (v2.2) update for the Google Camera app for Android users that brings a lot of new features, including new panorama modes, option to set a timer, take a snap while shooting video and more. The company released the Google Camera, a standalone camera app for Android smartphones last month on Google Play that brought SLR-like Lens Blur mode. Xolo Q600s with Android 4.4 and Xolo Q1200 now available for Rs. 7499 and Rs. 14999

After releasing the Xolo A510s Lite, Xolo is all set to release new smartphones in its Q CORE series. The Xolo Q600s, successor of last year’s Q600 and the Xolo Q1200 are now available from online retailer Snapdeal. The Q600s would be the company’s first smartphone to run on Android 4.4 (KitKat). The company has already promised Android KitKat update for a range of older devices. With a 4.5-inch qHD display, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM, this aims to compete with other budget smartphones like Moto E, Micromax Unite 2 A106 and the Lava Iris X1. It was announced last December and packs a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display at 440 PPI, powered by a 2 GHz MediaTek MT6592 Octa-Core processor with Mali 450 GPU and runs Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Philips Mobile has entered into Indian smartphone market with three new smartphones S308, W3500 and W6610. It has also launched a feature phone E130. The S308 in the S Series has a 4″ WVGA screen, powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and comes with a 5-megapixel camera. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and comes with dual SIM support. LG G3 announced, comes with a 5.5-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 801 and Laser AF

LG has just announced the G3, the company’s latest smartphone in the G series and the successor of last year’s G2. As we all know, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display, powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with new flat UI, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flashes and a new Laser AF that should provide fast focus, even in low light conditions. The camera will supports 4K video recording and the G3 also comes with a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera that lets you capture images with just a simple hand gesture. Previously believed to be metal, the G3 is actually made of plastic, but with an advantage of a removable back cover that reveals the replaceable 3000 mAH battery and the card slots. The LG G2 already had a great sealed battery, but the G3’s removable option gives the choice for people who might want it. It has a 7-inch (1024 × 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, powered by a quad-core Intel Atom processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It also has a front-facing camera. Images of the LG G Pad 7.0 has been leaked by a French website FrAndroid before the official launch. Announced earlier this month, LG G Pad 7.0 is the smallest tablet in the G Pad series which also has G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1.

LG L80 Dual gets priced on official India website at Rs. 17500

LG unveiled the L Series III lineup that includes L40, L70 and L90 at the MWC 2014 back in February. Both the L70 Dual and L90 Dual smartphones went on sale in India recently. Today, the LG L80 Dual (D380) has been listed on the official LG India website, priced at Rs. 17,500 (MRP). Even though the phone was showcased at the MWC earlier this year, press images of the LG L80 Dual surfaced in Russia last month and it went on the official Russian website few weeks back.
