Polaroid Power with 6-inch 1080p display and Snap 4G smartphones announced

Polaroid, popular for its camera products has introduced Snap and Power, two new Android smartphones at the CES 2016. Both these smartphones run on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), which is upgradable to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), 13-megapixel rear camera and have 4G LTE support. The Polaroid Snap comes in 5-inch, 5.5-inch and 6-inch HD screens and the Polaroid Power comes with a 6-inch 1080p display. These are designed and manufactured by Southern Telecom, an authorized Polaroid licensee.

TP-LINK Neffos 4G smartphones announced, includes C5 Max with 5.5-inch 1080p display

TP-LINK Neffos C5 Series

TP-LINK, popular for its networking products today introduced new smartphones C5L, C5 and C5 Max in the Neffos C5 Series, as it announced last month. All these smartphones run on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), come with dual SIM support and have 4G LTE. The entry-level Neffos C5L packs a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor and has 1GB of RAM. HTC introduces Pink One A9 in Taiwan

HTC One A9 was introduced back in October last year in 4 colors – Carbon Gray, Opal Silver, Topaz Gold and Deep Garnet, even though it was leaked in additional Acid Gold and Cast Iron color variants earlier. Now the Taiwanese company has introduced Pink variant of the HTC One A9 in its home-ground. Intel has joined hands with US based footwear maker New Balance to work on an Android Wear powered smartwatch that is particularly aimed at athletes. The smartwatch is said to enable runners to “focus on their training so they can constantly improve performance.”

Huawei Honor 5X launching in India on January 28

Huawei has sent out press invites for the launch of Honor 5X smartphone on January 28th. It is the successor of one of the most popular Honor 4X smartphone that was launched in India last year. The teaser image shows the smartphone’s unibody metal build, rear camera sensor and the fingerprint sensor below the camera. The teaser has a caption Faster Better Stronger to mention that it has a faster processor with more RAM, better design and a stronger metal build compared to its predecessor, the Honor 4X. Casio WSD-F10 is the first rugged Android Wear smartwatch for the outdoors

Casio has announced WSD-F10, the first rugged Android Wear smartwatch at the CES 2016. Apart from water resistance up to 50 meters, this is also built to military standard specifications (MIL-STD-810G) so that it can withstand a variety of rugged activities. It has dedicated apps designed to measure changes in the natural environment and track activity levels. It has a 1.32-inch (320 x 300 pixels) dual layer display with monochrome and color LCDs.
