Redmi 8A Dual with 6.22-inch HD+ display, dual rear cameras, 5000mAh battery launched in India starting at Rs. 6499

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand just launched the Redmi 8A Dual, the company’s latest budget smartphone in India, as it had promised. It has a 6.22-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with Dot Notch and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 439 SoC with up to 3GB RAM and runs Android Pie with MIUI 11 on top, same as the Redmi 8A. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. The phone doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor, but comes with face unlock. Mint Keyboard to be the default Keyboard on Xiaomi smartphones in future

Xiaomi announced Mint Keyboard back in September last year, it is the result of a collaboration between the Chinese giant and popular app Bobble AI. Designed for Indian users, Mint Keyboard aims to enrich the expressions and conversations with the AI engine. HUAWEI, Xiaomi, OPPO and Vivo said to create Google Play Store alternative

Earlier last year, Google suspended some of its business operations with HUAWEI which includes a ban on using Google Services and Play Store. Subsequently, the company got another 90-day license extension to do business with American firms and there have been reports that the company has been working on alternatives. On similar lines now, according to the latest reports, Chinese mobile giants Xiaomi, HUAWEI, OPPO, and Vivo are said to be working on a platform to rival Google Play Store.

Micron starts mass production of LPDDR5 mobile DRAM, Xiaomi will use it in Mi 10 series

Micron Technologies has announced that it has started mass production of LPDDR5 mobile DRAM and confirmed that it will be used in upcoming Xiaomi Mi 10 smartphone. LPDDR5 will offer 40% faster performance and 20% lower power consumption compared to LPDDR4x RAM used in most flagship phones. Redmi Smartphone with dual rear cameras, 5000mAh battery launching in India on February 11 on Amazon, could be Redmi 9A

After teasers Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has confirmed that it will launch a new smartphone in India on February 11th on Amazon.in. Since it has ‘Smart Desh Ka Dumdaar Smartphone’ tag, this will likely be the Redmi 9A, successor of Redmi 8A which was launched back in September last year. In the first set of teasers the company has confirmed dual rear cameras for portrait shots, first in the Redmi A series phone, 5000mAh battery, similar to Redmi 8A, so we can expect Type-C and fast charging as well. It also confirms patterns on the back for a better grip, again similar to the Redmi 8A. Get Android 10 on Redmi Note 5 Pro with OxygenOS port

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro was amongst best-selling devices in 2018, launched with Android Nougat, it received Android 8.1 (Oreo) update in June 2018. The company rolled out Android 9.0 (Pie) update to the smartphone back in May 2019, the device is almost 2 years old now and has already received two Android updates. It is almost certain that Xiaomi will not update the Android version on the Redmi Note 5 Pro, but in case you own a Redmi Note 5 Pro and wish to keep your device updated with the latest Android version, you may try a custom ROM. Xiaomi Mi Router 4C with omnidirectional antennas launched in India for Rs. 999

Xiaomi launched the Mi Router 3C back in 2017 and it was due for a refresh for quite some time now. While the company launched Dual Band routers in China, the 3C that was launched here did not support dual-band WiFi. On similar lines now, Xiaomi has launched the single band Mi Router 4C in India and replaces the Mi Router 3C here.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G live images surface — punch-hole 120Hz OLED screen, Snapdragon 865, 108MP quad rear cameras, 65W fast charging

Xiaomi already confirmed that it will introduce Mi 10 powered by Snapdragon 865 Mobile platform with Samsung’s 108MP sensor in Q1 2020. Today live images of the smartphone have surfaced revealing the design of the smartphone. The images show curved punch-hole screen, which should be AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate and feature in-display fingerprint scanner, quad rear cameras, which should be similar to Mi Mix Alpha and a 3D curved glass back. The box confirms the Mi 10 Pro 5G name, and there should also be the standard Mi 10 version. Xiaomi launches Mi Portable Wireless Mouse in India for Rs. 499

After teasers Xiaomi has launched Mi Portable Wireless Mouse, the company’s first Laptop/PC accessory in India. The mouse has an ABS plastic light-weight body at just 70 grams (without the battery), features an ergonomic design for comfortable usage, comes with primary photoelectric sensor and has 1200 DPI for rapid and accurate mouse movement, but it doesn’t feature DPI adjustment. Xiaomi Mi A3 Android 10 update will roll out mid-February, confirms company

Xiaomi introduced the Android One series of smartphones in collaboration with Google back in September 2017, the Android One program guarantees a couple of Android version updates with regular security patch updates.
