Xiaomi Mi Credit digital lending platform launched in India officially, offers instant loans of up to Rs. 1 lakh

Xiaomi today launched its Mi Credit digital lending platform in India officially, after running a pilot last year. The company said that during pilot period it has disbursed over 28 crore worth of loans, and 20% of the loans disbursed were for the highest loan value. The company partnered with KreditBee last year, now it has partnered with Aditya Birla Finance Limited, Money View, EarlySalary, CreditVidya and ZestMoney. Xiaomi co-founder Lei Jun steps down as China president as Lu Weibing takes over

Xiaomi has announced that the company’s co-founder Lei Jun will be stepping down as the China president, and Lu Weibing will be replacing him. Wang Xiang, who had been the Senior Vice President of the Group and head of global business, has been promoted as the President of the Group. He will be responsible for the Group’s administrative platform, and will assist the Group’s CEO, Lei Jun, to take charge of the Group’s operations. Redmi Note 8 Series sales cross 10 million units globally in 3 months

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand introduced  Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro smartphones in China back in August, and the phones were launched in India in October. Today the company has announced that the combined sales of Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro have hit 10 million units globally in just 3 months, which is 1 month less time compared to the Redmi Note 7 series. It said that it sold 110,000 units per day for 3 consecutive months. Last week the company announced that it has sold 1 million or 10 lakh units of Redmi Note 8 series in India in 1 month. Xiaomi India teases launch of 108MP camera phone soon, Mi Note 10 expected

Xiaomi introduced the Mi CC9 Pro as the world’s first 108MP penta camera phone in China earlier this month, which was introduced as Mi Note 10 for the global markets. Today Mi India and the company’s India head and VP Manu Jain has started teasing the launch of 108MP camera phone, and the company has also added ‘108MP IS COMING’ to its Twitter handle. So we can expect the Mi Note 10 to launch in India soon.

Xiaomi Mi Band 3i with 0.78-inch AMOLED touch display, 50-meter water resistance launched in India for Rs. 1299

Xiaomi has launched the Mi Band 3i in India, a cheaper version of the Mi Band 3 in India, it had promised. It has a 0.78-inch OLED touch screen display that shows real-time data for running, cycling, walking, and other activities, is 5ATM water proof so that you can take it for swimming under 50 meters, but this doesn’t have a heart rate sensor that it present in the Mi Band 3. Xiaomi Mi TV 4A 32-inch and 43-inch (2018) Android TV Pie update finally starts rolling out

Xiaomi launched Mi TV 4A 32-inch HD ready and 43-inch Full HD models last year running Patchwall based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). These TVs didn’t get any updates, even months after the company released new Android TV models running Android Oreo-based Patchwall. The company back in July started early access program to offer Android 9.0 (Pie) Android TV update directly to these users, skipping Android Oreo, now it has started rolling out the Android TV Pie update for these TVs.
