Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its own proprietary Android skin MIUI, dubbed MIUI 12 along with Mi 10 Youth Edition at an event in China earlier this week. MIUI 12 brings brand-new Animations, Dark Mode 2.0, and focuses on Privacy and security. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max smartphones in India last month, but it didn’t launch these in China. Now the company is said to be planning to launch the Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G phones in China with 5G support since the company will be focusing only on 5G models for the Chinese market. Xiaomi recently confirmed that it will introduce Redmi Note 9 smartphone in a global event online on April 30. Today the company has confirmed that it will also introduce Mi Note 10 Lite alongside. This was certified by the FCC with the model number M2002F4LG few months back and the phone has also been certified by BIS in India with the model number M2002F4LI, so we can expect it to launch in India as well. It automatically adjusts between providing the best quality audio or lower latency streaming based on the audio content that is being played. It promises up to 9 hours of battery life. Xiaomi announced the MIUI 12, the company’s latest UI yesterday in China with several improvements over MIUI 11. While the update is set to be rolled out to Xiaomi/Redmi devices starting June 2020, Xiaomi has already started working on MIUI 13 and the announcement comes right after MIUI 12 launch yesterday.

Xiaomi today introduced MIUI 12, the company’s next-generation UI for its smartphone at an event in, as it had promised. It brings improved visual effects, new wallpapers, privacy improvements that now shows all sensitive behaviours of an app, Improved Xiaomi ’s AI phone assistant with AI calling and support for dialling, especially helpful for the hearing impaired. Xiaomi has also optimized the motion recording algorithm adding sleep monitoring so that it can record snoring. The company says that it is offline and will not send the recorded data. Last month XDA findings revealed that Redmi K30 Pro might launch under POCO branding in India and everyone assumed it to be long-awaited POCO F2. Later POCO GM, C Manmohan confirmed that POCO F2 is a different smartphone from Redmi K30 Pro in India. Now Google Play’s list of supported devices reveals that the Redmi K30 Pro and upcoming POCO F2 Pro share the same “lmi” code name. It also reveals that Redmi K30 Pro 5G Zoom Edition will be launched under K30 Pro name in the global markets and it also has codename “Imiinpro” hinting that Redmi K30 Pro series is expected to launch in India. Xiaomi has announced its latest Mi electric scooter 1s in China. This is developed under Mi Ecosystem MIJIA. It weighs just 12.5kg and has a folding design that lets you fold it in just 3 seconds with a press of a button. It has a DC motor with 250W rated power and offers instantaneous maximum power up to 500W. The maximum speed of the scooter is 25km/h. Xiaomi is all set to introduce MIUI 12 in China on April 27th. Today the company has started sharing the features it will bring that includes Dark Mode 2.0. MIUI got dark mode in early 2019, and with MIUI 12 it is now present in 42 built-in applications and 20 mainstream applications are deeply customized for MIUI’s dark mod, and several third-party applications now support non-linear colour invert algorithm that accurately identify interface elements, and dynamically inverts colours for each interface object. MIUI 12’s invert colour algorithm is based on Lab, HSV colour space, and the inverse colour adaptation is wider and more natural. Xiaomi today announced that it will introduce Mi 10 Youth Edition (Lite) 5G smartphone and MIUI 12 at an online event in China on April 27th. The Mi 10 Lite 5G is the cheaper version of the Mi 10 that was introduced in Europe last month, but the company said that it will go on sale only in early May. Xiaomi’s MIUI 11 released last year introduced always-on display with the Dynamic clock and AOD presets where users can customize text slogans that will show up on AOD. The company has been adding new features to its custom skin from time to time and on similar lines now, Xiaomi has incorporated a new AOD section in MIUI Themes app, letting users customise the styles right from the Themes app.

A new Redmi smartphone with the model number M2003J15SC has been certified by TENAA in China, which is said to be launched as Redmi Note 9. This shows a punch-hole display with a 13-megapixel camera in the top left corner compared to top centre in the Redmi Note 9 Pro series. Even the fingerprint sensor location has been changed from side to back, however this still has a 48-megapixel quad rear camera arrangement with flash moved to the right side of the camera module.
