Xiaomi begins working on MIUI 13


Xiaomi announced the MIUI 12, the company’s latest UI yesterday in China with several improvements over MIUI 11. While the update is set to be rolled out to Xiaomi/Redmi devices starting June 2020, Xiaomi has already started working on MIUI 13 and the announcement comes right after MIUI 12 launch yesterday.

Xiaomi confirmed this development in a post in Mi Community China where it is inviting users to participate in MIUI 13 functional design survey. Details of the MIUI 13 is still scarce, but improvements over MIUI 12 is expected alongside new features. The development of MIUI 13 could take time and is expected to be announced next year with the rollout following later.

In case you missed, MIUI 12 that was announced yesterday brings improved visual effects, new wallpapers, privacy improvements that now shows all sensitive behaviours of an app, improved Xiaomi ’s AI phone assistant with AI calling and support for dialling, especially helpful for the hearing impaired. Other new features include Dark Mode 2.0, Automatic answer for spam calls, Self-developed AI motion algorithm for sleep tracking with accurate identification, and more.
