Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 9 in the country last month. To recall, the device features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ LCD, is powered MediaTek Helio G85 12nm SoC with up to 6GB of RAM, and runs Android 10 based MIUI 11. Xiaomi has already unveiled the latest iteration of its proprietary Android skin MIUI, dubbed MIUI 12 Global back in May, though the company is yet to formally announce MIUI 12 for India.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphone in India back in February last year running MIUI 10.2 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie). The smartphone has already started receiving Android 10 update along with MIUI 12 in India, but limited to Pilot testers only for now. Redmi Note series devices usually have a great custom ROM development, and Redmi Note 7 series is no exception to the family.
Oxygen OS is amongst popular Android skin that offers smooth experience along with a decent amount of customizations without much bloatware. Xiaomi just launched its Mi TV Stick, the company’s first streaming stick in India, as it had announced. This comes after Mi Box 4K that was launched in May. It runs Android TV 9.0 and comes with built-in Chromecast that lets you stream 1080p content. It also comes with Mi Voice Remote with Netflix and Prime video shortcuts and Assistant button for easy voice search. Since it comes with Google Play, you can download apps and games easily. After rumours, Redmi K20 Ultra with the model number M2006J10C has been certified by TENAA in China revealing the specifications. Based on this the phone is said to retain the 6.67-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen, but will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000 with 5G SA/NSA support compared to Snapdragon 865 in the K30 Pro. InterDigital, an Indian mobile and video technology research and development company, today announced that they are taking action against Xiaomi for infringing on patents involving cellular and H.265/HEVC Indian patents. InterDigital has stated that they are willing to settle the issue with Xiaomi under the terms of a FRAND license.
