Xiaomi under its Redmi brand just launched the Redmi 9A, the company’s latest budget Redmi smartphone in India, as it had promised. It packs a 6.53-inch HD+ 20:9 Dot Drop screen, is powered by MediaTek Helio G25 with up to 3GB of RAM, runs Android 10 with MIUI 12 out of the box, features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. It was introduced back in June, packs a 6.53-inch LCD Dot Drop notch screen, 5000mAh battery,  Octa Core MediaTek Helio G25 processor, 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Xiaomi opens 3000th Mi Store in India

Xiaomi today announced the opening of its 300th Mi Store in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. Mi Stores are now present across 850 cities in the country. The company opened its first Mi Store on 15th August 2018 in Bengaluru, created Guinness World Record by opening over 500 Mi Stores simultaneously in Nobmer 2018, opened 2000th Store on August 12th, 2019, and after a year, it has reached the milestone of 3000 Mi Stores in the country. Xiaomi shows off 3rd generation under-display camera technology, smartphones coming in 2021

Xiaomi today introduced its third-generation under-display smartphone camera technology, which the company says is the best solution for under-screen cameras, with perfect display and selfies. The first generation of under-screen camera technology that was introduced in June 2019 with transparent cathode and anode materials laid the foundation for the subsequent development of under-screen camera technology, said the CEO Lei Jun. Redmi 9 Prime Review: Prime Contender Under Rs. 10,000

Lately in India, the prices of smartphones are increasing and are largely due to factors like the COVID-19 pandemic, GST Rate Hike from 12% to 18%, supply shortage, INR depreciation against the US Dollar amongst others. In 2019, we saw smartphones that offered great value for money under Rs. 10,000 like the Redmi Note 8, but gradually the price was increased up to 25% as well. Fast-forward to 2020, the choice of smartphones with good performance under Rs. 10,000 has become limited and the price ladder has now moved up to Rs. 12,000. Redmi 6 Pro MIUI 12 Global Stable Update starts rolling out in India [Download Link]

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6 Pro in India back in 2018 running MIUI 10 on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo). In mid-2019, the smartphone received Android 10 based MIUI 10.3 update bringing Dual VoLTE, system-wide dark mode, face unlock support for app lock, and others. The company had also rolled out MIUI 11 Global Stable update for the smartphone towards the end of 2019 bringing several new features such as Quick Replies, Mi Share, Floating Calculator, Steps Trackers, and more.

Redmi G gaming laptop to be announced on August 14

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand today confirmed that it will introduce new Redmi G gaming laptop in China on August 14th. This comes after the RedmiBook 16 powered by Ryzen 4000 series processors were introduced back in May, and the new model is said to be powered by new Intel Core i5-10200H or it could be i5-10300H.
