Xiaomi Mi 11 with 6.81-inch Quad HD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888, 108MP triple rear cameras announced for global markets

Xiaomi just announced Mi 11, the company’s latest flagship smartphone for the global markets as it had promised. It packs a 6.81-inch E4 AMOLED quad curved DotDisplay with peak brightness of 1,500 nits, 120Hz refresh rate and touch sampling rate of 480Hz and MEMC motion compensation. It has JNCD of 0.38 and uses its self-developed color calibration algorithm. The phone comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus that offers better scratch and drop resistance. Xiaomi confirms launch of new Mi MIX smartphone and a new tablet in 2021

Xiaomi’s recently posted a new video of Lei Jun in conversation with Mi Fan. Lei Jun has confirmed that Xiaomi will launch new MIX series smartphone and Mi Pad tablet this year. This news has also been confirmed by Xiaomi’s product director Wang Teng Thomas and other company executives. Xiaomi introduced the Mi MIX 3 back in 2018 and started rolling out the Mi MIX 3 in 2019. Xiaomi shows off quad-curved waterfall display concept smartphone with under-display camera, no ports or buttons

Xiaomi has introduced a new concept smartphone with 88° hyper quad-curved screen, and the company says this allows visual interfaces to flow over the phone’s surface like water. Since the entire frame of the smartphone is covered by the screen, the phone doesn’t have ports or buttons offering an unibody no-port smartphone design. Xiaomi India today announced that the Mi 10i 5G that was launched last month in the country has crossed gross sale worth over Rs. 400 crores since it went on sale on 7th January 2021. Xiaomi also said that the Mi10i 5G is also one of the most searched smartphones in January 2021 as per Google Report. Xiaomi files complaint against US Department of Defense for being added to blacklist

About two weeks ago, the US Department of Defense (DoD) announced a list of 9 companies that were being added to a blacklist of companies that were believed to be controlled by the Chinese Military. Xiaomi has now filed an official complaint against the ruling, claiming that the decision was “factually incorrect” and subsequently they are trying to reverse it.

Xiaomi Mi 11 and MIUI 12.5 global launch set for February 8

Xiaomi has started sending out invites for the launch of its Mi 11 flagship smartphone globally, after it was introduced in China last month. It will also introduce the MIUI 12.5, the next MIUI update for the global markets on the same day. It is doubtful if we can see the Mi 11 Pro at the event since it is expected to be introduced in China first. However, we can expect the Mi 11 Lite which is rumoured to pack a Snapdragon 732G SoC or possibly a Mi 10 version called the Mi 10s with Snapdragon 870. It has been over 7 months since the Mi Band 5 was introduced with major changes including a new charging method. Now reports about the upcoming Mi Band 6 have surfaced. According to Zepp app code, a new device codenamed “Pangu”  and model number “XMSH16HM”. The Firmware and Resources files have revealed new features in the Mi Band 6. The “XMSH16HM” is the China NFC version and there is also “XMSH15HM” is the global version without NFC.
