After getting certified by the FCC last month, the Xiaomi POCOPHONE F1 has surfaced in an online listing the shows the images, reveals specifications and the price of the phone. This shows a 5.99-inch FHD+ screen with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch, Snapdragon 845 SoC with support for liquid cooling and 6GB RAM, 12MP+ 5MP dual rear cameras, 20MP front camera, fingerprint sensor on the back and a 4000mAh battery with fast charging.
Xiaomi today announced that Holitech Technology which is its key component supplier will start smartphone component manufacturing in India. Holitech has signed an MOU with the state of Andhra Pradesh and will start local manufacturing in the city of Tirupati for Xiaomi. Update: Option to expand notifications by swiping down is now back with MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 8.8.2, so chances are high for Xiaomi to bring back this feature to stable update in future.

Qin AI Phone, a new 4G VoLTE feature phone is now available for order from Xiaomi’s crowd funding platform in China. It has a 2.8-inch QVGA color display with T9 keyboard and runs Android-based Mocor 5 OS. The main highlight of the smartphone its AI voice features that promises real-time voice translation in 17 languages. The AI can also tell a story or poetry to children, in addition to answering questions.

Update 2 – July 2018: Xiaomi has added couple of new cards including ‘Check train PNR’ and ‘Trending apps’ to MIUI App Vault. Xiaomi has partnered with Ixigo for ‘Check train PNR’ service which can be used to check PNR status without leaving the home screen. Users need to enter their 10 digit PNR number for their upcoming train journey to see all the details. The card also shows recently checked PNR numbers which is really helpful as users don’t need to enter PNR number each time they check PNR status for the same journey. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone in India in 4GB / 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB (eMMC 5.0) storage. Later it introduced the same phone as Redmi Note 5 with better specifications in China, but with the same 64GB storage. Xiaomi has announced Mi A2 Lite, the company’s latest mid-range Android One smartphone along with the Mi A2, as it had promised. It packs a 5.84-inch FHD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with a notch, is powered by Snapdragon 625 with up to 4GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo), a 12-megapixel rear camera with flash along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera for AI portraits and AI scene detection. There is also a 5-megapixel front camera with AI portrait and AI Face unlock.
