Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S26 FE, expanding its Galaxy S26 series with a device designed to deliver flagship-tier software and hardware features at an accessible entry point.
The Galaxy S26 FE is the first device in the lineup to ship with One UI 9 out of the box, offering upgraded camera processing, enhanced context-aware Galaxy AI tools, and long-term software support.
Camera and Video Upgrades
The Galaxy S26 FE features an upgraded triple rear camera system paired with updated computational photography tools. For telephoto capture, the device includes a dedicated 3x optical zoom lens, while the front camera has been upgraded to a 12 MP sensor designed for broader framing in group selfies. Low-light performance is supported by Samsung’s Nightography processing to retain detail across challenging lighting conditions.
For video, the device integrates:
- My FanCam: An automated subject-tracking tool that centers a selected individual and adjusts framing dynamically during recording.
- Super Steady with Horizontal Lock: Software stabilization that maintains a level horizon during fast-moving activities.
Editing features include natural language prompt-based edits via Photo Assist, enabling users to alter lighting or modify objects step-by-step, alongside Gemini Omni integration for automated gallery video compilation.
Galaxy AI and One UI 9 Integration
Running on One UI 9, the S26 FE incorporates several system-level AI tools:
- Now Brief: Customizable briefing cards for weather, wellness, and schedules that users can generate using natural language prompts.
- Now Nudge: Contextual suggestions expanded across select third-party notifications.
- Circle to Search with Google: Multi-item image search capabilities within a single query interface.
It will get 7 generations of OS upgrades and 7 years of security patches.
