Samsung has started teasing features of the upcoming Galaxy Note 4 smartphone that would be unveiled on September 3rd in Berlin at its Unpacked 2014 Episode 2, ahead of IFA. The first video titled Your Note for Handwriting emphasises on the smartphone’s handwriting feature using the S Pen. The second video titled Note for Crafting that was released earlier today hints at new note taking and editing features. Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 specs confirmed

The hardware specifications of the two edition of Samsung Galaxy Mega phablet was leaked just a couple of days ago. Today, we have received images of what looks like the AnTuTu benchmarking results of the upcoming Mega 2 smartphone.

The unit involved in the benchmarking carries the model number SM-G750F, which reveals that the device is one of the variants of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2. Samsung launched the Galaxy S4 zoom last year, to place their bets on the cameraphone market. It didn’t work out so well, as the S4 zoom was basically two devices slapped on together. The sequel announced this year, the Galaxy K zoom, is visibly better, with a slimmer profile and a lens unit that is more pocketable. The megapixels are higher and the phone itself gets a decent spec boost, but does Samsung get the formula right this time? Or is the company going to need a third time lucky? Samsung has launched the Galaxy S5 4G+ in Singapore. It is a variant of the Galaxy S5 broadband LTE-A that was launched in Korea in June. It is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor and has LTE-A support up to 300 Mbps. Other specifications are similar to the global Galaxy S5 variants, including a 5.1-inch 1080p display, 2GB RAM, 16GB of storage with expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD and a 2800 mAh battery. Samsung and Barnes and Noble launch Galaxy Tab 4 Nook Tablet, starts $179

As announced earlier, Samsung and Barnes and Noble have unveiled their first co-branded Nook tablet. Dubbed as Galaxy Tab 4 Nook Tablet, it has  a 7-inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution screen and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S5 (SM-G9009D) with Dual-SIM support in China back in April, but it only had CDMA and GSM support. Later the company launched the Galaxy S5 Duos (SM-G900FD) with LTE Cat 4. support in markets like UAE, and it is calling it Galaxy S5 Duos LTE. We managed get one. Samsung and Microsoft reportedly discussing settlement over patent dispute

Earlier this month Microsoft filed a patent lawsuit against Samsung over royalty payments. Now according to a recent report from Korea Times, both the companies are apparently in talks to come to an agreement that would out an end to the lawsuit.

Samsung Electronics has acquired SmartThings, a home automation company that builds open platform for the Internet of Things (IoT). It will operate as an independent company within Samsung’s Open Innovation Center group . Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy Note 4, the company’s fourth smartphone in the Note series at the Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 event at IFA on September 3rd. Erafone, an online retailer in Indonesia has listed the Note 4 ahead of official announcement, along with the specifications. Even though most of the specifications of the Note 4 have been leaked already, the listing reveals 4GB RAM and SM-910S and SM-910C , Snapdragon 805 and Exynos 5433 variants that already appeared in benchmarks.
