Samsung launched the Galaxy S5 (SM-G9009D) with Dual-SIM support in China back in April, but it only had CDMA and GSM support. Samsung has announced the Level Box mini speakers into its premium audio range that was announced in April this year. The Level Box mini is a wireless speaker that can be connected to a smartphone or a tablet via Bluetooth or NFC.

Samsung Electronics has acquired SmartThings, a home automation company that builds open platform for the Internet of Things (IoT). It will operate as an independent company within Samsung’s Open Innovation Center group . The team will remain the same and will relocate to a new headquarters in Palo Alto, CA, said CEO of SmartThings, Alex Hawkinson on their official blog. Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy Note 4, the company’s fourth smartphone in the Note series at the Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 event at IFA on September 3rd. Erafone, an online retailer in Indonesia has listed the Note 4 ahead of official announcement, along with the specifications. Even though most of the specifications of the Note 4 have been leaked already, the listing reveals 4GB RAM and SM-910S and SM-910C , Snapdragon 805 and Exynos 5433 variants that already appeared in benchmarks. Samsung has announced its new Exynos 5 Octa chip, 5430. It is the first Samsung chip to use 20nm HKMG process technology. It is based on ARM big.LITTLE technology and has Heterogeneous Multi-Processing that can run combination of up to eight cores at a time to provide optimum performance, similar to the earlier Exynos 5 Octa chips. Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 has been spotted in the database of China’s Telecommunications Equipment Certification Center with new specifications. Previous reports had stated that the phone will have 5.9 inch screen with HD display. However, the latest leak is revealing that the Galaxy Mega 2 will boast a 5.98 (6)inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720.
