Celkon launched the A45 smartphone in the RahmanIshq series last month, now the company has launched the AR50, a new smartphones in the series.  It has a 5-inch display, powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It also comes pre-loaded with AR Rahman’s chartbusters and a special tune created for the Rahmanishq Music Smartphones, similar to the AR45. Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 OTA update starts rolling out in India

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update for the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) in India. The LTE variant of the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) got the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update in Germany last week. The Samsung Galaxy S4 was launched back in April running on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It got the first update back in May the brought stability improvements, another update in June brought option to move apps to the SD card, new Smart Pause toggle and more.

Nokia have reportedly sold at least 8 million Lumias last quarter, claims WSJ

In a run up to the Nokia World event set to happen on the 22nd of this month, the Wall Street Journal has published a piece on Nokia, Elop and its future. The report also serves us new information that Nokia have reportedly sold at least 8 million Lumias last quarter, spanning from July to September, which is a more than double of what they had sold the same quarter, last year. This information, credited to “people familiar with the matter” is nothing surprising considering the fact that Nokia had sold 7.4 million Lumias the quarter before, with the momentum of the low cost Lumia 520 and other cheaper devices gaining marketshare all around the world. Major growth markets like India have seen a remarkably fast uptake of the Lumia 520, which is possibly the most VFM phone available, and this has naturally applied to other markets as well.

Airtel acquires 100% stake in Qualcomm’s 4G venture


Airtel announced that they have acquired 100% stake in Qualcomm Inc’s 4G venture. Airtel increased its stake to 51% from 49% back in July, which it acquired back in May 2012 by paying US$ 165 million (Rs 927.39 crore approx). Qualcomm won BWA Spectrum in Delhi, Mumbai, Haryana and Kerala circles in 2010 by paying about US$ 1 billion (Rs. 4912.54 crore approx) in the auction by DoT in June 2010 Department of Telecom (DoT). Sony announced the Sony Xperia Z1 f (SO-02F), a variant of the Xperia Z1 in Japan for NTT Docomo in their Winter 2013 range. Now press image of Sony Xperia Z1S, a completely new device has appeared, thanks to evleaks. The leaked press image is completely different from the Z1 f, but the size of the phone is similar. Now an online store in China have posted the official price of the device along with a sheet that shows off the features of the smartphone. It’s been a week since we started our blind test polls for the “Best Smartphone Camera of 2013” and we have decided to reveal the line up and the results today. Why today? Well there are a couple of reasons for that. One, You, the readers have unanimously voted for Lumia 1020 as the best of the lot. Two, today is 10-20-2013(MM-DD-YY), and Nokia have decided to name this the International Mobile Photography day. So, we couldn’t find it any more befitting that the results be announced today. Nokia has named October 20th as International Mobile Photography Day, and recommend mobile users to snap a photo  on the first International Mobile Photography Day that is dedicated to capturing all those once-in-a-lifetime, unexpected moments. Nokia launched the Lumia 1020 in India recently, which is the world’s first smartphone to feature a 41-megapixel camera sensor along with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Recently, we brought you the information that Microsoft is planning to launch an app for Android and iOS devices that will let the users remotely control their Windows machines. Today, Microsoft went ahead and launched the app for Android and iOS. A lot of third-party applications were available for the same and now Microsoft has pushed out an official app to smoothen things out.

Intex launched the Aqua i4 and Aqua HD last month, now two new smartphones, Cloud X5 from the Cloud series and Aqua N2 in the Aqua series has surfaced on the official website. The Cloud X5 is the successor of the Cloud X4, but it lacks 3G support present in the Cloud X4. Other features are almost similar including a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor. The Intex Aqua N2 has a 4.0-inch (800 ×480 pixels) WVGA capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. It comes with a with a 4.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Review

“Too huge!”, “Impossible to use as a phone!”, “A failed experiment..” they said, and a new category of smartphones was born. Samsung is single handedly responsible for the whole big screen revolution in the smartphone market. After the success of the Note experiment, the Korean Chaebol marched ahead with the Note II, and that turned out to be an even better success story.
