Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update for the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) in India. The LTE variant of the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) got the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update in Germany last week. The Samsung Galaxy S4 was launched back in April running on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It got the first update back in May the brought stability improvements, another update in June brought option to move apps to the SD card, new Smart Pause toggle and more.

The Google Play Edition of the Galaxy S4 got the Android 4.3 update back in August. The Galaxy Note 3 was launched running on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. At the Note 3 announcement Samsung promised the Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy S4 in October, and it has rolled out the update as promised.

The Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update brings Restricted Profiles , Bluetooth 4.0 low energy support , OpenGL ES 3.0, support and more. There are a lot of Samsung Galaxy S4-specific features including  performance, user interface and stability improvements. Here is the official change log that appears before the update.

The Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) is 658.31 MB . It is available Over-the-Air (OTA) in India. You can try updating the phone using Kies software if it fails.
